  • A lot of worrying about the cost of a few electronic advertising boards, aren't we now sponsored by an electronics company and owned by a man with a huge background in the industry. Maybe he has this one covered...

That is what I said to them but a certain MBE at the Valley informed my friend as they walked out the tunnel that they were not aloud to Bloody stupid if you ask me

Ha ha. Maybe it was supposed to be a special surprise for us, so that Km could feel all warm and fuzzy when she saw the looks on our little faces.
  • The South, sorry Henry, Jimmy Seed stand looks out of place & makes the ground look a bit lopsided. Really needs to be filled out (or filled in ??) to make it more uniformed.

    Sort it out Roland.

That is old. If you zoom in and look at the back of the North Stand it still has the stone look badge.

I knew it was old because of the collection of Capris and Mk 2 Escorts on Floyd Road. ;-)
But when was the last time we prepared a 'Chelsea' pitch?
  • great detective work Clem. It must of been taken last time the pitch was re-laid?
  • What makes you say that OR?
  • Oh now you have mentioned Capris maybe im wrong. I just guessed it must of been taken when we returned to the Valley but I must be wrong
  • Sorry - I'm not being serious - my eyesight isnt that good!

it's got the current Covered End, so can't be all that old.

Anorak observation: how safe is the AstroTurf for players wearing boots when they run off the grass? I would have thought AstroTurf adjoining the pitch was a serious slip/injury hazard?

Anorak answer. I think all the pitches in Brazil have this. As far as I am aware no one has been injured as a result, just by some dodgy refereeing...
Visited the Nou Camp on Saturday - they have adjoining AstroTurf there also
  • A joy to behold. Now does it come with a cover this time?!

am i being daft or do the stripes go from north to south in one pic then east to west in the other?? hopefully north to south so we can paint little arrows to show the players where the goal is.

I thought they went south to north and west to east but it's quite hard to tell.

    Looking very nice though.
  • That grass looks like it's been cut as some form of special tribute to Scarfy. Perhaps he's having a testimonial?
  • East to West is always best!
