A tricky one to predict. It's Saturday for a start, and we always lose 3-0 on Saturdays. And there's the Tuesday game to consider, surely we'll want Sordell playing against his old club?
What we need is Darren Ditcher back for one game...
Do you mean Darren Pitcher?
That was the headline in the Sun (I think) after he got the winner to knock Blackburn (when they were the moneybags team) out of the cup, "Darren Ditcher"! After that his agent persuaded him he was the new Pele, and he ended up leaving us to go to the dark side...
I consider Blackburn to be one of our "Bogey" teams. We lost in vital games to them 1-0 in the old Full Members Cup Final at Wembley in 1987 and 4-3 at home in 1958 when we only needed a draw (and they needed the win) to win promotion to the old First Division. I attended both games and still feel the pain. Not optimistic. 0-3 ):
BUT, hoping to be proved very wrong and the lads surprising us two games running with a result for another vital point or even three? You never know with Charlton.
Surely you are forgetting our shock cup win a few years ago? 1996?
Not surprising given the level of foul mouthed abuse from so called. 'supporters' in the Lower West Stand. Even Jose had to turn around and remonstrate with them at the last home atch. They are around rows K and L seats approx 119 and it is about time they are got rid of but unfortunately the people around them put up with it at every match. The personal abus directed at certain players is an absolute disgrace.
Fair play Riga, but that's absolutely shocking "support".
So predictable that all the the usual doomsters and gloomsters are giving their negative predictions just like for Monday' s game at the Wendies..........................oh hang on a minute, still if it gives them comfort COYRs :-0
This will not be easy and much will depend on the first goal. However I think we will score first but then sit too deep and Blackburn will prevail as 2-1 winners. Then its time to anxiously check out the other scores and I am quite sure at least one will go against us.

I'm not too far from those jokers - people round me are getting seriously fed up with them - sooner or laterthey are going to cause a fight and then we'll get the condemnations on here about fans fighting among themselves...

no back to back league wins all season, can the law of averages finally work in our favour and deliver us that most welcome stat of two in a row? it couldn't come at a better time .....

What sort of abuse?
e.g. The expletives that even J.D. doesn't use on his stage act.
Blackburn have to get above 4 teams and need two wins, from their last two games, for their really slim chance of making the play offs ...... So they have to go for it Hopefully we can exploit their gung-ho approach
Extremely crucial afternoon. Last night I was looking at the table and the remaining fixtures for Blackpool and Barnsley. Then I started looking at the remaining fixtures for Watford, Blackburn, Wigan, Brighton, Reading... well, all those who still have a chance to be in the play-offs as their results will all directly or indirectly affect our final place in the table. Within a few minutes I found myself doing math and felt like I was back at school solving permutations and combinations problems....
In a word, very nervous about this afternoon (night) as there'll be quite a few games we need to keep an eye on. Hope we get one point at least, and Blackpool, Barnsley, Watford all lose. Reading beating Doncaster will also be a good result for us because Watford won't be able to catch up with them then with 10 points behind.
Or am I doing the math correctly? In fact I'm already confused... Anyway, it will all become much clearer by 17pm.
Looking forward to a few beers in Greenwich and a few more up around Tower Bridge after, will be a good day out whatever the score, a draw wouldn't be a bad result if other results go our way, but I'm getting a bit fed up thinking about others in the mess, so it's a 2-1 victory for me.
Looking forward to JR playing the strongest team available for these two games. It's time to go for it, can't rely on any result on last day of the season.
If I've got this right - If Barnsley lose away to Boro, then they will be relegated as the most points they can get is 42. Yeovil were relegated last night, so that would be 2 out of 3 places gone. Then if Blackpool lose at Wigan the most points they can get is 46, so theoretically if we win today and both of the above happen we will retain our championship status....I think I've got that right as a win today will give us 48 points.................right?

So, 0-3 or possibly 5-8, I can't decide.
Famous last words....
So they have to go for it
