Thought Church had one of his best games for us today. Cousins struggled and I can't see why he wasn't swapped for Green after about an hour. We had some good play but Cousins struggled to get to grips, not for the first time, with an attacking role.

Not sure it was a penalty. 50/50 I'd say. Fox looked good, far better option than Evina. Reza looked much better too.

Let's hope for a good result tonight and then lots more good results 'til the end of the season. We're not going to score many goals so we need them!
  • Reza is beginning to impress me after a shaky start. He's no longer expecting free kicks and is putting himself about a bit more. He was our most threatening player until he went off.
  • Robbed again, but I reckon that point plus our better goal difference will see us safe. COYR's
  • We have to hope that Burnley do us a favour by beating Blackpool although I still have nightmares of our trip to Bloomfield Road in 1972 when a draw would have been enough to keep us up. And we ended up losing 5-0!

Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself.
  • Wasn't a pen. Keeper didn't touch him.

Similar to Barnsley in that we played some nice stuff without much of a threat.

Only on Tuesday Barnsley scored from their first corner and v Bolton it was cleared off the line.

    Such are the tiny margins.

With AA on the pitch we looked to move the ball. But when he's burnt out after an we have very little. It's not as if he a box to box runner when he is on.

By the end we we're happy to hang on.

Reza has one trick- spin and shot. It doesn't work very often.

Church worked hard and had two decent chances. A glancing header and near post shot. Neither troubled the keeper.

Cousins is wasted out wide, Fox did very well going forward but also defended solidly. My MOTM.

Green should be fined for urinating in full view of the fans. Disgusting ; - )

Happy with a point now. May change my mind when the other results come in.
  • Dull, boring, no urgency, never ever any pressure when we don't have the ball. Becoming a joke now. Never looked like scoring. Wasn't a penalty - Church slipped and should have got up and tried to get to the ball but didn't. Fox was our best player along with Morro, Wilson, Poyet and Astrit before he went off. Don't understand bringing on a defensive midfielder for a forward when it's 0-0 at home and you need to win. I think he's clueless.

Can't see us winning again this season which will mean relegation.
  • Listened on CAFC Player. Don't know if it's anything to do with the commentary from a Charlton perspective but I feel slightly more optimistic than some of you on here. Before the game I was prepared for a loss so I'm glad we got one point. There were moments when we almost conceded and thankfully it didn't turn into another defeat like the Barnsley game in the end. The subs were surprising but then again we don't know what would've happened had AA and Church stayed on. It could've gone either way.

Sounded like Fox did fairly well so that's one positive - btw, post-match conference on Player just now and he doesn't really sound like a 20 year old lol - Monday's game will be very tough but with one point gained, I can at least have a relaxing weekend, the first in almost a month's time.

Weird negativity in this thread. I thought we were good! Apart from the Hughes substitution, I thought we got it mostly right.

Aside from Reza coming.off before Church, I agree.
  • Heard the Fox interview on CAFC player after the game and must say he sounded very down to earth and mature. The plus point this season is the young players coming through and if we do go down then all is not lost (although Diego will go) and bring through some more youngsters with a couple of signings. Watching Blackpool v Burnley and not too impressed with Burnley. We must be poor if they beat us 3-0.

Yep I agree. I guess people are more likely to comment if they feel negative than positive though. Not that I can exclude myself from that as I almost didn't bother to comment. Expected nothing so am happy with a point.
  • Fox I thought was good but he makes ajdarevic look quick!
  • Church was playing a lot better than Reza...
  • Church was playing a lot better than Reza...

Don't agree, sure he's a good hold up player but he did nothing in front of goal.

Reza actually had attempts on goal and tried to make runs behind the defence to create something.
  • If we'd won on Tuesday this would've been a good result, but we didn't.
  • Riga's subs a joke today, obviously happy to settle for a point to take a forward off & stick on a defensive midfielder. Is he on a bonus to take us down?

Our powder puff attack must be the laughing stock of the league, stick a centre half upfront to at least shake a few defenders up, desperate situations call for desperate measures.
  • Anyone on here want to explain the logic behind drawing 0-0 at home, when you are one place above relegation and you take a forward of for a defensive midfielder

  • Wow, Just seen the table - and an extra two points today would've well and truly put pulled Donny in to the mess - as well as Brum, albeit with a game in hand.
  • The subs were worse than Powell's ones, we really were no better today or Tuesday, had this been under Powell people would be going mad. We hugely miss Yann, that is the exact position where we struggle to get past, the hold up and move on spot that Yann drops too. It's quite sad.
  • Funny how people read things I felt Fox looked like he was shit scared, in the first half he rec'd the ball from Hamer with 25 yards of open space in front of him, instead of drving into the space he played a 5 yard side pass to Dervite, he needs to play with the freedom he does for u21's and not get drawn into first team negativity, absolutely gutted we have,'t got the goals in us to stay up.

Definite penalty and a red. It's on YouTube. Looks like I was wrong.
  • Can only presume that church scores a few in training and they hope he will produce it in a game, because for the life of me kids in the park could hit the the ball harder it just gets more embarressing with every game.If i was paying on the day and i knew he was starting they would not get my money.

Yep this, I just retweeted it @dannyturner1974 and it's pretty clear

Maybe we should play more of them. They seem to want it more.

If only he could trap a ball.
  • Blackpool losing.
