The next away game we have where we take a large(ish) following - why don't the standers go towards the back of the stand and the sit down crew go to the front.
Forget your seat allocation, just go where you want.
This was the standers get to stand and the sit down crew get to sit down.
Everybody's happy, everyone gets what they want, there are no arguments and there are no stupid embarrassing threads on Charlton Life.

Simples........right??
But we must stick to the rules!! We are all allocated seats for a reason!!!
Would never work. Years ago I remember being in a virtually empty away end somewhere up North and saw an old couple asking some people to move as they were in "their seats".

I thought that was the general unwritten rule for away games. I generally head as far back as I can at a game and with our support there's never usually a shortage of space
Every so often you get a game which sees a larger percentage of lads, a larger percentage of once a season flasks and blankets and a lesser percentage of normal fans like the majority of us on here who are respectful, don't mind whether we sit or stand (even if you prefer one or the other) and generally just get behind the side without pissing other fans off

You got what you deserved. Your problem is it that you can't see it.
Your quick to condemn his actions, yet havent explained the bit to him about allowing muslim extremists to scream abuse at our servicemen/women. Perhaps you could pass your wisdom on regarding that point. This may improve his outlook on life.
There is a reason we have all seater stadia as today should remind you.
If you cannot generate an atmosphere whilst sitting down, then I suggest the problem lies with you, not the rest of the fans.
You must have learnt by now it wouldn't have happened without the police making the mistakes that they did make. And what about Germany where safe standing is used throughout the country?
The point is the rest of the fans can't generate an atmosphere whilst sitting either..
What about Germany? It isn't against the law in Germany so it is a moot point.
That is like saying, I know I was doing a 100mph officer but in Germany there are no speed limits on some of the autobahn.
It's nothing like saying that. You said there is a reason there is all seater stadia, indicating you believe standing is dangerous, so I pointed out that it is done safely throughout the country in Germany.

Brighton is one of those games
Gillingham might be one next season
