Think our £150 season tickets just went up in value tonight!!
Agreed. £150 is great value for League 1, so top value for Championship. I sometimes go and watch Ebbsfleet in the Skrill conference south and their ST's for next season are priced at £190.
A block and B block is what we want filled up. £150 for A block £250 for B block. Fans and atmosphere do make a team perform better. Problem with A block is some seats by the wall you cannot see the south stand but I don't see that a problem if everyone is singing anyway. Just think of the value. Its about time away support got some noise at them....That end of the ground is far to quite. No point moving into the west lower yet but that could be next. They will choke on there halftime scones if a singing block appeared in there!!
Would be nice to have both corners near the away end giving the away fans some famous CAFC love...lol they won't know which way to turn!!
My only concern is the jobs worth security team who I have seen telling people not to look into the away end. They stand at both corner flags and when one Charlton fan is giving it to 3000 palace fans who are giving it to him the Charlton fan gets spoken to.......
Operations need to realise that if the club are selling £150 season tickets in the A block then you can't start telling fans off for looking or singing "we pay your benefits" to away supporters.....
Anyone remember Huddesfield in the FA Cup last season I think it was. A line of stewards formed and "penned in" some of the younger fans who were singing at huddesfield?
I thought that was actually very wrong. Not propionate at all IMO. Why should home fans be separated from other home fans? I would give my season ticket back if that happened......
I think when you purchase the £150 ST, the club should attach a big yellow builders helmet to your head for a year, so the expensive seat holders can spot whether you're in the wrong seat.
Brought two seats Friday - myself and my mate moving from the Lower North. £6.82 a game is amazing!
Brought on the ten months option, then phoned the club and picked out a couple of seats - sounds as if most of them have gone already. Without going into too much detail about location we will need some good hats and coats for the winter!
I have moved from the upper to lower north now to the East stand.
Personally I don't think trying to make the best use of Crossbars is a bad idea, particularly given the operating figures for last year. I had a ticket there in my first season but it wasn't really my cup of tea.
I ordered online about a week or so ago but have heard nothing since, I payed by card - and I'm pretty certain my account was debited.
Has anyone else heard back? I'm kinda reluctant to ring at the moment as I'm out the country and don't want to rack up any money on my phone waiting about.
A Block is literally sold out. Only a handfull of seat left near the wall. Starting to take B block now. Know a few lads going in there. Still only £250. Cheap also....A block is going to be noise and hopefully B aswel now..North stand be worried. Be very worried!!
Away fans need to know they won't have it all there own way when they come to Charlton. That corner of the East stand is noisy. Would be great to start filling B block now. More noise. The famous Valley Roar. A and B would look good as singing blocks. Could even get the sheltered housing crew in C rocking..
I really hope we don't end up having our own brigade of arseholes that have seats by the away end just so they can shake their fists and shout expletives at them instead of watching the game.
Always gives me a good chuckle when I go to an away game (see Sheffield Wednesday for a good example) and take the occasional quick glance over to a group of fans intentionally sitting near the away end in order to do what I've just mentioned.
Looking at that photo - why did we never put seats where the first gangway is in A Block - more seats and everyone uses the same exit
You can only have so many seats to the aisle under safety regulations (14 from memory). The wider continuous blocks have aisles on both sides. Not much in it, but I think if you put both the narrow strips together they'd exceed half a normal block.
If you put the aisle down the end of the stand, which would look more logical, it would only be half as useful.

Same here. Done online and money taken from my bank on 31st, yet not heard anything from the club since then. I'll give it another week and if I haven't heard from them, I'll get on the blower..............

It just doesn't feel right sitting anywhere else when i've tried it.
