<Just for the record i was no fan of Powells tactics although he was hamstrung due to budget constraints in his last season .
He is still a relatively inexperienced manager and wdnt have the instant "galvanising effect" that say a Neil Warnock may be capable of .A great Charlton player/personality and as a person a real credit to himself ,always thought that he lacks that real bit of nastiness that might make a good man manager.I cant help but wish him all the best ..hope we beat udders 7-6 next game
If any lifers want to know what scabbyhorse looks like then look at the back of A block for a bloke wearing stone island and making throat cutting jestures at the away fans
It was nice to see Powelly back as a manager and the flatcap is perfect for Udders.
Unfortunately the squad isn't. Bottom 6-8 on paper IMO. Looks strange to an outsider, lots of players with technique but not influential over a run of games. As an outsider, the transfers seem to be have no agenda other than 1 Player at a time, what I mean is there is no apparent strategy for the group.
Wells and Vaughan are a great example of this, 2 of their best players who cant play together as it seems.
Difficult Job, good luck Powelly especially with that donkey Hudson.
Just had a quick look at the Huddersfield forum. Sounds like they all want to top themselves. 'Sunday league hoofs up the pitch', '4 holding midfielders', 'no attacking intent'. But as was said so often by our own fans, and it is entirely true, a point against Wigan could be a very good point come the end of the season.
Noticed that Andy Delort only managed 76-minutes against Huddersfield in that match
Seriously though hate to say it but wouldnt be surprised to see a bottom three of Huddersfield.. Blackpool.. Leeds (Possibly Fulham replacing one of those three) this season
Why does every blooming thread on Mr C Powell have to turn into a keyboard war with childish spats at each other? His name is like a catalyst for war!
He will probably do ok at Huddersfield after he gets to know the players and settles in, he is a clever man with a good heart and determination. I loved him as a manager and as a person, I can probably vouch for anyone that has met him that he is a top bloke. However if he does badly I don't really give a damn because they're Huddersfield not Charlton. All that matters now is how peeters does and we are unbeaten so far in the league so, so far so good.
Now I am imaging the scabby horse standing at the door of pat butcher in the noddy with a spinning bow tie
What you lookin' at? You all a bunch of fuckin' assholes. You know why? You don't have the guts to be what you wanna be? You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy! Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you. Come on. Make way for the bad guy. There's a bad guy comin' through! Better get outta his way!

Dear Mr ED
Thank you for attending the interview for head teacher, even though you made the short list, unfortunately, you just missed out on this occasion, but we would like you to mentor our young people, as there is such a shortage of role models, these days.

Now, here are the issues I have with them:
You can't be "moist", you can't be "wet" and you can't be "dry". You can't even be a "drip".
So what the bloody hell can you be?! Can't win these days.
