A point suits us far better than them, but I don't think we'll play many worse teams than Millwall in the run in. We could have gone a long way to safety with just one goal today.
We looked better with Cousins and Poyet together, with the latter head and shoulders above every other player on the pitch for the majority of the game. Wiggins better today, Dervite also deserves a mention, he handled their 8ft striker very well and looked to bring the ball out of defence. Millwall's tactic was obvious as soon as the big guy came on but didn't create much from the hoof. Their young winger was most dangerous but they seemed to bypass him in favour of hitting the big man early.
Adjarevic is a funny one. On the ball he is very good but off it he always seems a second or two behind the play. It can't be a fitness thing, he's been here since January! Looks like he struggles with the pace of the game and is therefore not as involved as his talent should justify.
Reza was significantly better in a central position than he was out wide on Wednesday and if he can get going he'll fit in well with the passing style that Jackson, Poyet, Cousins and AA are capable of, and will hopefully add some more dynamism in attack. I was impressed by Sordell in the week but today he wasn't quite there.
A point is a good result and I'm not unhappy but I think it could have been more. If we can get some confidence injected into this side and a more settled first XI then I think we'll be ok.
Best we've played against them in a long time. Dominated the game and bossed the first half but didn't create enough clear-cut chances.
Harriott and Wilson were easily our best players.
Jackson was a much better option out on the left after Pritchard had a shocker all game. He linked up with Wiggins (who was back to his best today) very well, just like they did in our league title winning season.
We desperately need a winger and a forward. As Riga has said, goals need to come from all the players, not just the forwards. Reza could do a job up top with a partner I reckon. Church isn't good enough and Sordell just doesn't look interested.
Millwall were very poor and they were there for the taking. I can't help think we'll regret not getting the win today. Yes, we have four games in hand, but we have to win them and they're not easy fixtures. I can see this going to the last game of the season.
I'm not unhappy with a point as the main object today was not to lose - however, we soon have to be turning these draws into wins as I doubt Barnsley & Yeovil will keep on losing and 1 win & 1 defeat is better than 2 draws.
After 2 games with Riga in charge I can't say that I'm disappointed. I would prefer 2 up front and I feel once Reza gets 1 he'll get a few more - him & Sordell would be my front 2 as we are starting to play to feet at last.
I know this may upset a few on here but I reckon we'd had lost that if CP had still be in charge. Sorry to see him go & he is CAFC through & through but I reckon he would have gone defensive with 10 mins to go today whereas we didn't & were pressing for the winner even into injury time.
One final word - Phil Dowd. Sh*te or what ?? How he could book Sordell for diving is beyond me.
Spanners must be sick though. Their cup final, huge crowd, only 1 point against their whipping boys...
Cup final??? Hahaha. You actually believe that don't you? A local derby our crowd will always go up but west ham and palace are hated far far more than Charlton.
Jog on. Go spend your dole money on a few more Stella's
We didn't lose! Yay! Feels a bit like a win , except Millwall were very poor and were there for the taking. Even so they came closer to scoring than us. Wiggins played well and Sordell did pretty good so I was surprised when he came off. Jackson as ever played a good combative captains game and Poyet took the eye with his close control and accurate passing. I had a Millwall fan up on his seat next to me shouting abuse at Charlton fans. I was tempted to tip his seat but behaved myself.
Powell Riga Curbishley Mourinho.... It doesnt matter. No striker no goals. If we'd had Kerm we'd have won one of the last two games. Such a needless relegation that Roly Poly is taking us towards.
On the plus side, lovely day. Spring really setting in.
Pleased with the point, which suits us more than them. A draw was probably the right result, although we definitely had more of the game than them. We played more like the home side.
I think it's fair to say, that Millwall display was the worst team I've seen all season & it's a pity we have nothing up front.
The back 5 all did well & Poyet was MOM, as he is every week. I just wish he played the ball forwards a bit.
The other 5 were all ok & the whole team gave it their all, but there's just no goal threat.
Anyway, at least we didn't lose it at the end, when they put us under a bit of pressure for the last 5 mins.
Overall I'm pleased & just hoping that we are the least poor, of 4 poor teams at the bottom.
It appears that Jose doesn't encourage the defence to drop deeper and deeper as the clock runs down and the 3rd centre back hasn't been called pion either.
Fair defensive performance and ok at passing about without making progress. As ever it's killer balls, crosses and decent shots on target are what we're missing.
Someone above mentioned wasted set pieces. This not only applies to corners, but free kicks as well. We had three great chances, but Sordell, Dervite and Jackson wasted them. It made me pine for the days when Jackson, Kermorgant and Stephens would stand side by side and the keeper wouldn't have a clue whether it was going left, right or centre but knew that whatever the angle it would be a belter.
We were the better team today, but not good enough to make the difference count. Ultimately though, I'm happy to get a point.

I doubt Powell ever encouraged his sides to drop deeper. It's just a refreshing shift in mentality.
Posting while drunk. It was similar to Wednesday. Again we had the better play, we had half chances, we got in positions for a great through ball or cross but we lacked the quality. We didn't test their keeper once, they really were there for the taking and a better team would have beaten them 2-0. Very frustrating but we didn't lose, that's the main thing.
"no massive interest" you Pony Spotters are truly single digit !Q tossers---easy your biggest crowd of the season for the second year running ----but it dosnt matter and you dont care------tossers of the first and second order---miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Wank.
A decent enough result with Barnsley & Yeovil both losing and a better point for us than it is for them. It's still very much in our hands if we can take advantage of the games in hand starting against Bournemouth midweek. We could also still drag the likes of Donny, Blackpool and Birmingham into the mix.
But where on earth are we going to get a proven striker from at this stage? Even if reluctant Roland finds the dosh??
Liege?
If they've anybody decent sitting around I'd suspect they'd want to keep them for now, they're close to the play off element of their season so would need all hands on deck I suspect.
Just got in, i managed a clever getaway....told the security that my car was in the car park and got let out straight away out the side into the millwall stand and then out.......was it fuck! was in the boozer before all the rest of the travelling faithfull were even nearly out. *not trying to brag just letting everyone know what to do next season(hopefully)*
Now whatever knobhead decided that selling Yann Kermogant was a good idea in regards to our survival chances needs to be shot. Who cares about what went on 'behind the scenes,' Yann in our team this week would have given us three points in at least one of those games.
I am a great believer in super Marv 'coming good' but HE IS NOT A MAN TO LEAD THE FRONT ON HIS OWN. He would be, in my opinion, quality alongside someone like, say, Yann Kermogant in a football playing team.
A draw was not a good result. If you were there you would know how absolutely rubbish Millwall were. They were there for the taking, We were toothless in attack and there is no doubt in my mind that we would still not have scored if we were playing till now.
I felt for Poyet as he was about 2000 levels above everyone else on that pitch and the fact that none of our players had the balls or quality to match his. Shame he is offski in the summer, he is pure class.
I am not Wilson's biggest fan but I eat a great deal of humble pie today as he had a great game. Also Callum Harriott, he looks like the player that ended last season again.
I wish Jackson was a few years younger. His passion is incredible but he is a few yards off the pace.
Riga's revoluton? Do me a favour, we were just as rubbish as we were under Powell. Yes they tried to pass the ball more. But only in our own half. The rare few times we did it in their half we looked quality but there was absolutely NO goal threat in our team AT ALL. I would have preferred Powell and his reliance on the sponge. Tica taca football our players are not.
Oli's jokerish rant about how refs don't give millwall anything the other day worked a treat as the ref was beyond a joke, giving them everything. The Den was also embarrassingly quiet, intimidating? No bruv. (unless you were the ref of course)
We should have stuffed them, we didn't, I just cannot see where the goals are going to come from to keep us up.
Nil nil's till the end of the season will not do the job.

Get a striker in.

With our lack of goals we have to be taking advantage of set pieces.
Riga has exactly the same problem and unless quality loanees come in then we will get similar results.
I am fully behind Riga, seems a decent man and well qualified, but I don't see how he gets more out of our current "strikers" than Powell did.
I desperately hope I am wrong.

But 0-0 is 'job done', more than happy with that.

My view of the second half is we were shit and they were shit.
Hope this hurts them more than us come the end of the season
But Belgium is not 'abroad'. It's an honorary state of England due to the amount of Stella consumed on these shores.
