The goals will come eventually if we are playing more attack minded football. It may take a penalty or lucky deflection to get us going again. It would help if Wilson was pushed forward because he likes attacking the box, picks up good positions and can actually shoot.
Dervite makes such a difference when playing well in defence which he did today. Pritch looked a lot better when switched to the left.
Sordell was interested for the first 20 mins or so then same old.
Points missed for me, better than a defeat obviously but we won't play many easier games than Millwall (and huddersfield) and 2 points is not enough.
One decent striker would have seen us picking up 6 points and on route to safety, if RD does not solve this problem he is a fool as it will be money pissed away on relegation.
To answer question above AA subbed, I assume, because he made very little impact and was knackered after 20 minutes as usual. If we stay up it will be despite the Liege cast offs not because of them.
Sounds like we were solid at the back. The new manager knows what we need to do. Nothing fancy, don't take risks which sounds like we did perfectly today. I think we'll overhaul Millwall quite easily. The table looks a lot better after today. What is there not to like. 4 games in hand over Millwall, superior GD and only 3 points behind.
Think we were slightly the better team but as we've been saying for weeks we need a striker and a right winger. Come on Roland stop messing around and get them in.
We've done absolute minimum in the last two fixtures. That's relatively satisfying, but we really need to back this up with a win in our next game.
Encouraging that the players 'turned up' in a fixture so often sees us out bottled. Frustrating we still can't hit the onion bag (mmm onions) for love nor money. Not sure how we're going to rectify that, but if we can we'll stay up. If we can't, we probably won't.
Don't think it is a case of we can't score, the first priority is not to concede and lose. Once we have got a few draws under our belt, the shackles may come off a bit and begin to be more adventurous up front.
Doing the match thread, I wasn't thinking we were in danger at all. I think Dervite had a good game along with Wiggy and Wilson, Morrow got caught a couple of times but we did sound fairly solid. However I didn't think we would score either and that's my concern. We are relying on the defence to play well as we have not much (anything) up front. It must surely be time to get a proven striker or 2 in at this level. I think if we do we will be ok, if not we really do need the defence to play 100% + every game.
we average a win every 5 games pretty much, that means that if we had a win in the league, then we should have a high chance of beating bournemouth, also if we are improving in form and bournemouth have nothing to lose or gain pretty much, we should in actual facts be favourite to win.
I'm hoping that Riga will strengthen the argument for a couple of good quality loanees (RM and Striker) and persuade Roland and Katrien to push the boat out a bit. Just one goal in each of the games against Hudds and Millwall would now see us on 33 points and out of the drop zone.
Played well today, didn't sit back attacked till the end, knocked the ball about well, confident and played with desire and belief which I haven't seen for a while, only negative we have nothing to offer up top
I didn't go so not in a position to comment on the match but I'm well pleased with the point. Charlton fans came through loud n clear on the player. It's in our hands but we desparately need some goals.
Thought sordell worked hard asked to do the job up top on his own and a couple of times created attacks for us knocking the ball off defenders toes. Our decision making is a worry, on a few occasions we had a real chance to pick out a killer pass and on every occasion picked the wrong pass or shot. That said solid point with the players giving their all. Thought back five and Diego played well in difficult circumstances thanks to Phil Dowd

2 places in the table higher than we were this morning.
A game we dared not lose - we didn't lose.
3 points behind safety with 4 games in hand.
Safety is very much in our own hands.
Defence looking sound - 3 clean sheets in 4 League games.
Team playing a decent passing game.
Creating more chances each match.
Team spirit still very much intact.
But Lordy, do we need a match winning goal!
But we really might need to score a goal at some point.
If Millwall draw each of their remaining games, they finish on 42 points.
If Yeovil and Barnsley draw each of their remaining games they finish on 40 points.
Is that the answer you were looking for ... ?
;o)

Millwall were shocking , Poyet looked a class above, best game played for me so far.
Thought Dervitte was pretty solid , just lacked a goal threat, pleased we are off the bottom , would be delighted if we can win Tuesday.
