I think he will go to Sunderland in the summer and help them to promotion and end up in the prem. then will be recognised more and end up somewhere big.
Apologies if this hasn't surfaced in this thread already ( I wasn't going to trawl through the hundreds of comments) but with Sunderland facing the drop and the Manager saying he takes full responsibility, what's the chances of him being kicked out at the end of the season? Furthermore, would CAFC grab him so Jose can run the Academy? If Poyet Sr is as sound as his lad is, would that be a good move for us?

Id take that situation all day long. Just not sure Gus would.

Would be a great fit in my opinion and I'd be very happy with that. Good call.
Would mean Steve Brown wouldn't be seem at the Valley for a while though!
I wouldn't, in all honesty, be able to advise him to stay. He is clearly too good for where we are going. It's staggering that he can go from a young player with just months left on his contract who's never played in the first team to a star who shouldn't stay at a Championship club.
I would be ecstatic if he stayed for another season but I can't see it and, despite, having been with us for a while, I don't think anyone can, realistically, hold it against him if he moves on to much bigger and better things.

When one looks at where we might be mid August it would be criminal for him and the club to part ways! The risks look.too high for me on both sides...After tonight's result I can be a bit braver about us staying up... But I can also reiterate two facts which cannot be argued: 1) CAFC squad is about to go through a revolution comparable to three years ago...15 younger players signed up...10 older players gone...5 talented professionals in the balance. 2) Of course he can go and take risks on situation, people, management (which changes) or he can stay and be part of a top half set up...maybe even top 6 if we sign the right players!
End of the day it is up to Riga, Meire and Duchatelet (+?) to paint the picture for Poyet, Hamer, Morrison, Dervite etc. so the club can build. I am 100% sure the club are already selling this vision (under new ownership) - let's see who buys it?!

Our problem is keeping players, not producing them
Diego Poyet: Ha ha ha, that's a good one dad
