Johnnie Jackson tweeting fans

Thought it deserved its own thread. For over an hour he's been personally responding to hundreds of fans that have sent him messages today and he's still going. Doesn't make up for the result but goes a long way and has cheered me up seeing it.

  • I know he has lost a yard of pace, but I think we would miss his leadership. I'd keep him on.
  • Yeah he seems a top bloke just a shame his legs have gone.
  • noticed that, fairplay to him.

FairPlay to him , he runs himself into the ground even tho his legs are shot to bits

Spoke to him after the QPR game and told him fuck the cup just win at millwall , well he kept to the first part of that(eventually)
  • Looked really hurt and fucked off at the team after their quick couple of goals. Dragged and threw harriott away from getting into a fight after the goals.

    Quality bloke. Quality captain.
  • I'm not sure you can criticise Jacko for not scoring enough!

    Very supportive!

  • Fair play to him, most players would hide after a performance from the team like that.

Captain taking responsibility, glad he's still here. Hope he's here as captain next year too.

Alright. Give it a rest will you. We can't all be winners like you.
Your world record for amount of hours watching man-baby porn will clearly never be beaten!
  • Charlton Life getting involved I see
  • well done JJ, standing up and being accountable, better than cp sending tweets through his mate.
  • Has MV tweeted him yet?
  • Ask him (and its a serious question) , as to why does he think that we were total shite today ?
I bet no-one has or does. Too much, yes Jacko, three bags full Jacko,we love you and Powelly Jacko. Can we come lick your boots Jacko.

  • Mr Jackson is a true skipper, always has been an Addick from day one. He has been let down of late by tactical incompetency and unwilling team mates. A media career beckons, but not a cup semi, as fans we can never feel anything else than endearment. He could, I believe, be that vital ingredient all teams need, with our present playing staff and coaches, he will be an ordinary cog in a slow moving antiquated machine,

Bet you're a right smarmy git aren't you?

Might do some of our fans good to realise that the players are human too? We are upset and disappointed, but will be nothing compared to how they are feeling. Well done, JJ.

"Nothing compared to how they are feeling"?

You sure about that? Maybe you want to come round and tell my 10 year old how he isn't feeling anywhere near as bad as the players who he travelled hundreds of miles to watch play and then break down when the second goal went in. Or me, for feeling guilty for inflicting this whole disease on him.

I guess we've got off lightly in comparison.

    Honestly, some people .....
spot on Off It, the players/managers never go through the wringer like we do, they have plenty of clubs throughout their life, we are stuck with ours. though I like JJ, it is not the same to how we feel or our kids do. CP has had Wimbledon, nigels, Leicester (may be others) so how we can say he is CAFC is a bit odd really, anyone who has worn a palace shirt is dead in my mind.

Yeah Jacko. Did you not fancy sitting on your fat arse and moaning about Arsenal as a kid? Did the internet forum football manager thing not interest you? Jesus Jacko at least show you care about Charlton, it doesnt happen too often.

My 8 year old is the biggest cry baby when he plays football and loses but every Charlton game we go to he says we'll win but I say we'll lose /maybe nick a draw and I get in his head to expect the worse and so he is subconsciously mentally prepared for the inevitable defeat
In the early days it got to him all this losing lark but slowly but surely it's not affecting him as much
It's all about the mind games , try it !
  • Great answers , as usual.
