because it is too unpalatable to their view of the Dear Leader to think he may have anything remotely PR about him. it sucks, at least Parky said it as it was, didn't rely on PR through mates, cowardly behaviour.
What the fuck you on about? Read this thread again and you will see how Lewisham football crept in. Someone mentions a few names I know and I replied.
Nothing to do with trying to change the subject. Don't be an idiot. You never seen a thread go off on a tangent before ffs?
no, it is about AA's post, his PR on behalf of CP, nothing to do with Lewisham football, if it was then that would have been the main subject. AA is CP's mouthpiece, that is what is being talked about, no need to change the subject, start another thread if you want about Lewisham football. I find his comments, straight from CP, a bit slimey/PR shite, is it ok to talk about that here? or did you want to change the subject again?
I'll talk about what I want on this thread thanks fella, as can you. But don't for a minute think you can tell me what I'm supposed to be doing when you have no idea.

No evidence Chris Powell is behind this tweet, so no basis to slag him off on the basis that he was. You're making the leap from the fact that he talks to his friends to the view that he asks them to speak for him. I don't see him doing that at all.
We - well some of us - choose ( yes CHOOSE) to get up around 5am , travel for 3+hrs to watch OUR team play a game of football.
And we lose against a team that is brimming with confidence & has already knocked 2 PREM teams out of the Cup. A Cup shock ? No, I don't think so.
Then we turn on anyone we can to vent our spleen: Individual players, manager, owner, and best of all, each other.
No-one forced us to go. And, indeed, the regular away travellers have faced exactly this outcome many, many times but some of those who have CHOSEN to make the trip to this particular game seem to feel they have a God given right to witness a winning performance just because they are in the crowd ! Unbelievable.
I put my hand up & admit I really didn't think we'd win today. Yes, of course I was disappointed but as with the majority of matches I've seen this season, I get over it & move on...
What I don't do though, is take out my frustration & hurt on other Lifers.
Think a few people need to grow up.
( Wonder how many will bother to turn up to support THEIR team on Wednesday night ?)
Blimey. Perhaps Ansah is just his mate and finds it hard to bite his tongue when he sees his mate in a shit position. I don't know CP personally but everything you ever heard abiut him suggests he is a thoroughly decent bloke. Politics? Don't believe it for a second

you are right, surely a manager would not do that, it would be a bit creepy if they did wouldn't it?
thanks off it, expected nothing else/better from you.
No problem. Glad the post was up to standard.
Did you know that the main "home" pitch at Deptford Park contained not one but two metal drain covers? Dangerous stuff eh? And then there was the dog shit.
I played and reffed on the pitches there and can confirm it was always covered in dog shit, but that mirrored the Pepys Estate over the road, so was a good reflection on the area.

Ffs Downman - stop taking this thread off topic. Or have you been got to? ;-)

There's loads that don't think he is but just your wanky condescending tone... Dear leader this dear leader that? Sound like a div. But no doubt you'll get your wish shortly then you can be happy on here.
Steve Dowman, you've made your points on multiple threads, so I'm not sure where the censorship angle stems from. Rather, it strikes me that you haven't found satisfaction in doing so, and now you're picking a fight with anyone and everyone who doesn't share your views.
Whatever we think of Powell, Jackson and the rest, we all felt the same pain when the goals went in. Might be useful to remember that.
I'm sure all will become clear in the fullness of time.
I almost feel like this season is a write off . Had we had investment in the summer we could well have been in the play offs instead we're staring at relegation I'm afraid.

How do you know he's Powell's mouthpiece? Has he told you?
Powell may have been told by the thoroughly useful SYP that he wasn't allowed over because a few of theirs were still trying to get on the pitch. Or he may have been that embarrassed by the teams no show he simply couldn't face it... Either way we shall see if there's anything in this, until then Wednesday is all we should be thinking about on the Charlton front and hopefully getting some valuable points on the board
Steve Dowman, I reckon most people have figured out where you're at. What are your ideas for how we change, who we ought to appoint, how that would work financially, and how you would see the next couple of years developing? I reckon there is doubt, actually no evidence at all, that Ansah is acting as anybody's puppet. You may be right about everything you say at the moment, but you know what they say...even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
Caught up with developments on this thread , I was too depressed to stay on CL last night.
Just to say to @Off_it and his mates,I have enjoyed reading about Lewisham Junior Football and where these guys played in their youth.
On to Ansah's tweet, I have always taken the view when I have known sensitive info , that I either stay silent or tell someone the full story. I am disappointed that he has chosen to speak in code.
@Steve Dowman - Since you totally ignored Airman's point, I'll reiterate it for you. You're making a huge leap of assumption to suggest that Ansah was TOLD to put a cryptic tweet out. No evidence for that whatsoever and there's not yet any evidence that Ansah was told anything substantial at all!
People have accused CP of putting stories out there in order to spin public opinion elsewhere on this forum. What a load of crap. The way I see it CP is an honest man who looks to answer questions as truthfully as he can when they're put to him. So when someone like Cawley asks him about a contract, he answers him honestly. What's the problem in that? It keeps the fans informed which is far, far more than you'll get from most managers.
(Before anyone says it, this is not a defence of tactics, selection or anything else. Just a reasonable answer to some ridiculous assumptions.)
And we lose against a team that is brimming with confidence & has already knocked 2 PREM teams out of the Cup. A Cup shock ? No, I don't think so.
Valid points aside, let's not make it more embarrassing by suggesting a capitulation against a team in a lower league, that we all expected to beat, is anything other than an unpleasant shock. I'm a pro-Powell supporter, but his cheerleaders do him no favours sometimes.
I've no time for people like Ansah who write/tell half the story like some cryptic clue from the Times. Either tell it all, or say nothing at all. Prat.

what is condescending about that?
I know you love powell b, but just because others don't, does that mean they cannot say anything?

This season just needs to be over.
