I do remember from my old days following Halifax Town that there used to be something called the West Riding Senior Cup that all the professional teams in the West Riding fought over - if we get through this lot I will insist on it being found and delivered to the Valley.
Only Brighton v Hull to come though so at the moment there could be only one replay (or none at all) being shown on BT Sport.
And at the moment BT Sport's schedule on 25th / 26th Feb only shows Bordeaux v Lorient as being on (BT Sport 2) so surely our initial game will be shown now, especially if the television companies want to wet themselves at the thought of building up to the Sheffield Derby
You want the big clubs in the early rounds and if you are still in it in the latter rounds, you should want the weaker clubs. Which is what we have got. We have to do something about the opportunity, but it is an opportunity that an away tie to Man City or Arsenal wouldn't have given us!
Is that so Muttley...... So two trips to Sheffield get's the pulse racing eh?..... Probably one of the few season's that I think we should focus on the league, and try and have a decent day out...... We shall see if we get your wish and progress......
Johnnie Jackson @johnnie_jackson 8m No pressure then.Take Sheffield down single handedly and Wembley is ours....I got this
Bit differnt to what he was saying at the Eltham Addicks meeting a few weeks back....... talked about using squad players if I recall When challenged by a fellow supporter that he wanted to see a cup run....... he disagreed?
Haven't read all thru this thread (was watching footie - great game) so sorry if repeating other comments. my eldest is proper glasshalf full, I was a bit underwhelmed at the draw he said (great draw, Hooters quarters - Wemberleeee) told him that Utd had won "Derby game written all over - never gonna happen - Wemberleeeee) - cheered me up
disappointing .. probably the least attractive possible draw ... plus, Wednesday will be extra motivated for the potential real prestige and money making tie against the uppity neighbours .. a really terrific win for the Blades today and of course we can still do Wednesday, although it might happen on a Tuesday ?

A Sheffield derby has been written in the stars ever since United's last minute winner against Fulham. I really, REALLY hope we haven't got this excited just to lose to wednesday
It's weird that in that L1 winning season, we beat both Sheffield sides and Huddersfield to the title. This time we'll be beating them on the way to Wembley. :-)
