In all honesty I can see something like this happening. Us and Millwall are unsustainable outside of the premier league in our half empty stadiums, unless you have a owner willing to fund the loss to keep the club going each season
Millwall may be unsustainable, but Charlton aren't. Charlton aren't unsustainable right now unless Rolands money dries up. If Roland ever decided to stop funding the club he would simply sell us off to the next person.
With that said, ground sharing could happen just as a way to get some added revenue. Extort something like 10% of their ticket sales.
he seems like a good guy. And he is not the problem, its the council. And although the whole idea is beyond ridiculous, I still wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that Lewisham and Roberts have discussed it.
It's the shiny new development around the Den that Lewisham are trying to joint develop with someone. They can't move the dirty great waste incinerator, major rail line or the hundreds of tyre or pallet dumps around the arches but they can attempt to get rid of the most toxic thing of all our cheerful chappy Spanner mates...

That waste incinerator used to have a big banner on it proclaiming "Recycling London's rubbish" - just a couple of hundred yards from the Toolbox. 'Nuff said.
They are amusing are they not, Peckham, Bermondsey, Rotherhithe, up the Castle down the old Kent Road, Sarf London. Then you find out they are all knob head cab drivers from Welling and Eltham !
Ha, remember years ago a Millwall cab driver friend of a freind telling me he had used all his savings to buy shares and expected to make 'a bundle'. I tried to manage his expectations by pointing out that football clubs do not have a good record in paying dividends and that he should sell as soon as poss and keep a couple for fun. He was having none of it.
As we know, the price collapsed. Did not know whether to laugh or cry.

Do the Spanners have an AVC?
They would have to pay for two tankers of disinfectant to get the stench out or it is no deal.

"...... it's about removing the most despised club in England from their shiny new city development."
Aw, nobody likes them.
John Berylson 'determined' to keep Millwall at The Den for 'generations'

Henry & me knew that.....just seeing if anyone was awake......
[He lied unconvincingly......]
They'd be ok, as we're the weaker club with 'meak' support.
As the kids say, lolz!

Decide to laugh long and hard.
