  • The club is expecting the tie to go ahead, familiar words.
  • Won't be informed half way to Waterloo that this is off and turning round - not going
  • I presume the decision will be made long before we set off this time! The only issue could be if it hasn't rained and rain is expected - knowing the way our weather is, this is probably what will happen!
  • Not filled with confidence
  • Probably best if ref who inspects it is the same ref who will ref it - then as soon as he has inspected it, the covers come on until shortly before Tuesday's game - which we hope is dry!
  • If I was an Oxford fan I definitely wouldn't bother.

But about 50% already live in London during the week, I presume?
  • You don't want to call off too late but then again you don't want to call off too early. Maybe 10am on tuesday morning concidering where Oxford fans are travelling from.

No! You call it off as soon as - and only when - it is clear the game cannot go ahead.
  • There will probably be several pitch inspections between now and kick off.

You can't blame anyone for deciding in advance not to go.

  • Rain predicted for this afternoon.
  • I don't imagine anyone (outside of SE7 anyway) would go to this following Saturday's debacle.

There's a fair chance that a number of those home fans who have already bought a ticket (2000 odd) will.
  • Heavy rain predicted for this evening so presumably there will be another inspection in the morning 9.00am maybe?

Absolutely, just hope the dome is in position.
  • Well I'm not going, was going to get a ticket on the night but with all this ridiculousness with the pitch I can't be bothered watching a second 11 go out to a lower league opponent, again. It's got to the stage when I feel it's more likely to be off than on, I can't be doing with it.

It has been confirmed that this afternoon's pitch inspection will take place at 1.30pm. We'll provide an update when we have one. #cafc

Better than when they haven't :-)

  • I can get to the ground pretty easily from work so will leave it reasonably late and if it is still on I'll be going. I expecting Chrissy to play a strong team though. If there is any suggestion he may not - I may review my decision.
  • I wasnt going to go yet should the pitch pass the inspection I'm getting a bit more tempted

still over 30 hours before kick-off though. How many will risk it after recent events, especially if travelling a fair distance.

I reckon we'll get the same sort of numbers as this fixture would normally get about 5k. A lot will claim they're not going because of recent pitch/Comms problem but in truth they weren't going anyways.

  • It'll all go swimmingly well so we're still going.............. hoping that the coach won't turn around half way!
  • Rain forecast for tomorrow evening which is more worrying.
  • BBC has rain forecast for tonight.
  • I'm planning on going, as I live in Maze Hill and can leave it until about 7pm before I have to make a move. Have a feeling this could be our lowest attendance in many a year.
  • We don't want it raining during or just befor the match!! But BBC are forecasting heavy rain to start at about 7pm ish tomorrow. I think somebody up there is against us!!!
  • This will be us towards the end of the season

  • Looking at the weather forecast, I think the only way this game could go ahead, is if we leave the cover on and play underneath it. :-)
  • Wonder if action will start to be taken if it doesn't pass the test...
