Think a lot of players would unfortunately do the same - you don't have to throw a game, score an own goal etc, just get a yellow card in a boring mid-table game and we'll give you six months wages, tax free.

This is a real shame. Was a really big fan of Sam Sodje - very few would win in the air against him.

If I was a third tier footballer, nearing the end of my career, earning 2k a week and fuck all chance of earning much outside the game once it had finished and had a family to support, for £70k I'll have to admit I'd take a yellow card every day of the week #whore

It might be easy for me to disapprove, knowing that no-one will ever offer me 70k for a few minutes work, but if I was ever in that position, then I don't know 100% that I would definitely turn it down, I must admit. I mean I'd like to think I would, but I couldn't swear to it!
