Only £4.80 as well, in The Hole in the Wall outside Waterloo Station last night.0 -
This was, I'm sorry to say as I usually like their stuff, quite unpleasant.

I'm not a whisky fan so maybe that's a factor but it has quite a medicinal aftertaste going on. One to avoid for me.0 -

Youngs Winter Warmer. Very festive.1 -
Completed my isolation period this morning so popped to a local for a pint. Brixton APA, one of my favourites. Really sad how quiet pubs are right now - would normally be rammed and making the money they need to get through the quieter months at the start of the year m

The Wetherspoons in Bromley South still remains popular. The rest at times are almost empty, very sad.se9addick said:Completed my isolation period this morning so popped to a local for a pint. 7.4% is a bit stronger than I would normally drink, but it’s Christmas!Really nice IPA, give it a go if you like this sort of stuff.

Give their plum porter a go if you haven't yet. Not easy to find, but worth searching for.0

It is lovely, agreed. As was this. No idea what went wrong with their whisky beer above but I really didn't like it.IdleHans said:Give their plum porter a go if you haven't yet. Not easy to find, but worth searching for.0 -

First of the night - Trillium Habitat - 2021 3 Year Blend 1. Very pleasant, very geueze like. Light, slightly lemony, but you can taste the barnyard.

Trillium Habitat - 2021 3 Year Blend 2. No lemon, more citrus zest if that makes sense. Also not as funky but a bit more sour.

After a quick break for some Tums, on to round 3 - Trillium Habitat Port Barrel Aged. A bit more rounded than the first two. I’ll take their word for it that port barrels were used. Not as good as the first two, but unlikely to require a second round of Tums. It’s also noticeable that I could have used one glass of beer and just lined the different bottles up next to it, although the first was a little more pale.

Bit leftfield but this...

...was the last "beer" of 2021 for me.
Cheapo cherry beer (from M&S, quite nice in itself) topped up with a shot of rum, Disarrono and Grenadine. Absolutely delicious.0 -

Introducing Jimmy Scissors Flynn, he was called scissors ✂️ as he was so quick as shearing sheep. He liked a beer or two.2
