  • Amazing moment watching when he hit the 1000th, it will be beaten by Trump but GOAT imo Trump has a long way to go and needs to start showing up in the Worlds/ UK with his new found confidence/form (whatever you call it he is alot better player these days and probably Ronnies biggest threat these days)
  • The Gibraltar Open started today now showing on Eurosport 1.
  • Been hard to update Gibraltar Open what with so many games in such a short space of time but now we are down to the last 16 I will.

    Gibraltar Open
    Last 16

    Ryan Day v David Grace
    Daniel Wells v Dave Gilbert

    Tian Pengfei v Yan Bingtao
    Oliver Brown v Lu Ning

    Andrew Higginson v Zhou Yuelong
    Kurt Maflin v Stuart Bingham

    Gary Wilson v Yuan Sijun
    Rob Milkins v Kyren Wilson
  • Whilst I remember Martin Gould won The Championship League and with that earned a placed in Novembers Champion of Champions
  • A side note to the Gibraltar open its massive for 3 players

We have 6 players confirmed in The Players Championship(which starts Tuesday and the winner gets £150,000)

Those 6 are(current ranking points in brackets)

    1-Mark Allen(£394,000)
    2-Ronnie O'Sullivan(£353,500)
    3-Judd Trump(£307,000)
    4-Neil Robertson(£304,500)
    5-Mark Selby(£246,500)
    6-Mark Williams(223,500)

Then the next 3 on the 1 year ranking list are
    7-Stuart Bingham(£188,000)
    8-Kyren Wilson(£187,500)
    9-Dave Gilbert(182,500)

So with less than 6k seperating them this weekend is crucial to who will take the 7th and 8th spot in Llandudno.

And with Wilson and Bingham due to possibly meet in the Semi Final you have to think Dave Gilbert despite being 9th is favourite out of the 3 to be heading to Wales
  • Gibraltar Open

    Results

    Ryan Day 4-3 David Grace
    Dave Gilbert 4-3 Daniel Wells

    Tian Pengfei 4-3  Yan Bingtao
    Lu Ning 4-2 Oliver Brown

    Zhou Yuelong 4-3 Andrew Higginson
    Stuart Bingham 4-2 Kurt Maflin

    Yuan Sijun 4-2 Gary Wilson
    Rob Milkins 4-2 Kyren Wilson
  • So With Wilson out Stuart Bingham is in Wales next week

The last place is between Wilson and Gilbert

If Gilbert makes the final he will be there, if he loses in quarters ir Semis then the final place is Wilsons
  • Gibraltar Open
    Quarter Finals

    Ryan Day v Dave Gilbert
    Tian Pengfei v Lu Ning

    Zhou Yuelong v Stuart Bingham
    Yuan Sijun v Rob Milkins
  • Gibraltar Open
    Quarter Finals
    Results

    Ryan Day 4-2 Dave Gilbert
    Lu Ning 4-3 Tian Pengfei

    Stuart Bingham 4-0 Zhou Yuelong
    Yuan Sijun 4-3 Rob Milkins

So with Gilbert losing to Day it means Kyren Wilson takes the 8th place in Wales next week.

@paulie8290 - Is this on the TV?
  • On ITV4 now & from 18.45 this evening.
  • Yeah @cafc-west as @clive said ITV4  and will be everyday till the final on Sunday
  • Really Hoping Selby uses this and kicks on, the longer format is were he is best and with this, The China Championship and The World Championship coming up, I am hoping we see the Mark Selby of a few years ago
  • 1 side point to the event

Mark Selby has been world number 1 for 49 months in a row, should ROS win the event he will overtake Mark anr become World Number 1
  • Not the greatest of starts for Selby, 35 points up breaks down and Robertson takes the frame
  • Tour Champions
    Quarter final
    Mid session interval 1st session

    Neil Robertson 2-2 Mark Selby

    My two favourites on tour.
edging towards Selby just to keep the number one ranking

  • In the opening 4 frames in Selby v Robertson there have been 3 centuries

    117-Selby
    110-Robertson
    103-Selby

Not a bad start to the event
  • Tour Championship
    Quarter final
    Mid session interval 1st session

    Mark Williams 2-2 Judd Trump
  • Could have just had a massive frame on table 2

Neil Robertson was 2-0 up Selby won 4 in a row to lead 4-2 then in frame 7 a frame Robertson really needed he was 61-0 up missed a pink he should have potted and Selby cleared up to go 5-2 ahead
  • Tour Championship
    Quarter final
    1st session
    Result

    Mark Selby 6-2 Neil Robertson

Mark comes from 2-0 down to win 6 in a row, all to do for Neil tonight
  • Tour Championship
    Quarter final
    1st session
    Result

    Mark Williams 4-4 Judd Trump

Neither player has had more than a 1 frame lead in this tight battle and I expect that to continue into the 2nd session tomorrow afternoon
  • Tour Championship
    Quarter final
    Mid session interval 1st session

    Ronnie O'Sullivan 2-2 Stuart Bingham
  • Tour Championship
    Quarter final
    Mid session interval 2nd session

    Mark Selby 6-6 Neil Robertson

Robertson wins all 4 frames to level it up.
  • Tour Championship
    Quarter final
    1st session
    Result

    Ronnie O'Sullivan 6-2 Stuart Bingham

Stuart missed an easy black of the spot in 3 different frames when in amongst the balls which cost him dearly in the opening 8 frames
  • Tour Championship
    Quarter Final
    Result

    Neil Robertson 9-8 Mark Selby

Final frame decider took over an hour and finished with a black ball game
