  • Yeah betting is definitely a punt, mainly as it will be a long odds winner more than likely. Would be a nightmare to pick out games and predict a winner over 1 frame - 10 minutes format.

Stevens definitely needs something, with others also finding form at a similar age maybe he is due. Always the nearly man too, i like him good player on his day but not played well for a while.
  • I looked a few days ago, even the favourites which was Murphy, Hawkins and Wilson and they were around 25/1
  • Not bad value Murphy as he can play fast, only thing is it is pot luck. i'll look later but he is playing well this season and considering a few amateurs, top ranked players out might be worth a cheeky 5er .

I see tonight Ursenbacher vs Lisowski around 9:10, reckon that could be a good one.
  • Just had a thought, Bingham is back playing again and sounds like he has been practicing. He might be a good bet also, in theory over 1 frame / 10 minutes anyone can win but you would fancy someone like Bingham who has a point to prove.

Murphy v Hawkins, 1st vs 2nd seed - personally think Murphy should win but again probably a coin toss.
  • Close match just then
First time today a player was running around the table
Xiongman just not quick enough so Liam Highfield goes through
  • I put £5each on 2 players just for a sweat
    25/1 Bingham
    50/1 Cao Yupeng
  • Murphy out
  • Murphy out

Good job i swerved him in the end, he went out to 28/1 also feel he wouldn't take as serious as the Ballrun. fingers crossed would be a nice little return if one of them win.
  • Picked a winner out of every match so far there has been 18 matches and I have 9 correct

50% seems right for this event.

My picks for rest of session are
    Xiwen
    Perry
    Taylor
    Williams
    Keogan
    King
  • I might have a go later if i have time pick out some winners, anyone above 50% is just lucky ;)

Localish lad Charlie Walters on later too, he played in snooker league i play in, well stopped this season but never played him as i started the season he stopped, still route for him though.

    Walters v Lawler is tomorrow.

Seem to remember him Beating Oliver Lines in the Gibraltat Open last year.

After that he went to Q School(beat Reanne Evans in the 1st round) lost in quarters then in Q School 2 again he lost in quarters.

2nd round will stary at 7pm tomorrow
  • I was watching this last night, well flicking between that and darts. Still quite easy to watch but does seem a few more unknowns this year. I think the novelty might be wearing off now though, last night i was only half watching and flicking channels.

A few of the old guard winning in the eve: White, Swail, Wattana, Bond.

I haven't gone through and predicted results, will keep an eye on results over the weekend but as quite busy not sure whether i will bother with recording it either.
