I have never left early but would ask those that do to have a bit of consideration for the people who want to see the whole match.. It is very annoying when someone leaves early, then stops in front of you to watch a bit more play and blocks your view.
This !! If you're leaving early it must be because you don't want to see any more - so why then stop, turn round and look at what's going on !!! If you're going, then go - don't stop & block the view of others who do actually want to stat to the end & watch the action.
if we are losing and playing crap then I'll be gone, tbh rarely leave early these days unless the kids are really cold/bored.......I remember the 6-1 Leeds home defeat, I think the next home game was Birmingham and we were 2-0 down after about 25 mins (if my memory serves me correctly)....I was then gone back to the pub
why bother going if your going to leave early. would you go to the cinema and leave 10 mins before the end to beat the traffic
If I went to a cinema with 20,000 people in and had a 2 and a half hour journey (without the traffic) home on a Saturday then yes.
I usually leave when the board goes up and watch injury time on the TVs regardless of how well we are playing.
If it saves me an extra 45 mins and I still have some of my Saturday night left when I get home then why should I be made to feel like I'm 'not a real fan' just because I leave a few minutes early?
20,000 people..................who do you support then?
the 2008/2009 season when we were relegated to league 1 me and my mate rarely made it back to our seats after half time.
one of the birds behind the counter in the N upper had a thing for my mate and used to give us about 5 pints each as they were closing the bar at the end of half time.

No it isn't. It's because they want to beat the crowds. So it makes perfect sense to get near the door and watch the end from there. It might be inconsiderate, and in the case of the exit, illegal to stand there, but it's not an illogical thing to want to do.
What actually doesn't make sense is this pride of staying to the bitter end when there's often little to gain from it.
