I'd suggest Ride of the Valkyries, but the Wagnerian connection may upset Kermorgant and Dervite1

Third movement of Chopin's Piano Sonata No. 2 in B flat minor.

I think you're on to something.bbob said:Got to be London Calling and then Into The Valley- get the crowd reved up....The problem after that is Red Red Robin is a bit of a buzzkill for most of the crowd, but I guess it might whip the east stand up a bit, as long as they don't spil their cocoa.
What we need is individual headsets in each seat, with half a dozen different channels, ranging from Seven Man Army and London Calling for the gladiators of the Upper North who like to stand with their arms aloft, to Red Red Robin and Vera Lynn for those in the East Stand huddled in thier blankets and trying not to spill their flasks of cocoa.
And for the away fans in the Jimmy Seed, Guantanamo Bay style white noise.
Perfect.

has anyone bothered to sing red red robin as if it was terrace chant? give it a little thought before you dismiss it.
that "live, love, laugh and be happy" bit can be quite powerful when sang slow with passion. try it out an home by yourself, go on, chant the RRR words like you would for VFR.1 -
like a bit of Disclosure :-)incorruptible addick said:

Well, he's SHOUTING an order at us at ten thousand decibels, and I find that offensive. Do you do that sort of thing at home, or with your friends?Curb_It said:
"That guy"... most charming.Viewfinder said:
Agreed. The build-up to the Hartlepool game, the celebration of our promotion as champions, was fantastic precisely because we weren't battered by chainsaw guitars over the PA system. Yes, there were opera singers on the pitch, but during their breaks the expectant buzz of the crowd was allowed to swell naturally. When you go to see a band, you're not subjected to loud music before they take the stage because that would diminish the impact of the band itself. I suggest some Bach or Stravinsky at The Valley, played at a low level to allow the crowd noises to develop.Ross said:I tell you what I don't like. The 'This Is The Valley' video played, the atmosphere heighten, only for the video to finish and an upbeat song get played before the teams come out. Ruins the atmosphere totally.
And that guy has got to stop screaming "GET BEHIND THE TEAM AND MAKE SOME NOISE - COME ON YOU REDS" as if we are a bunch of recalcitrant children.

Does anyone know the name of the instrumental music we play very regularly at The Valley? It was played briefly today before the 'This Is The Valley' montage, and got a full airing on Thursday v Brighton.0
