  • agreed. we should play all our games at night, better atmosphere, most enjoyable game since the 5-4 against leicester
  • Very good and to hear the support for Chris Powell is superb shows the Powell Out brigade that you are in a minority of those that go to games

those that had the stupidity to boo at half time you are not CAFC fans your idiots end of
  • yeah who the hell booed at half-time? we'd started playing really well by then
  • Idiots that's who not many of them and they soon stop when they realise they have no backing
  • I didn't hear any booing at half time , what i could hear was the opening of thermos flasks...
  • CAFC, CAFC, CAFC
  • Nth upper middle of the stand
  • Around the half hour mark there was a low roar from the East as people realised we had dragged ourselves off our knees and could turn the game around.

    Never heard any booing.

    Great crowd.

  • he sings it all game bless
  • A definite case of quality over quantity tonight. Well done all.

Glad that I didn't hear any booing where I was - just applause at half time.
  • Fantastic tonight.

I heard a bit of booing at half time. Morons.
  • I sit in the upper west and didn't hear any booing at half-time.
On the contrary, all I could hear was clapping and encouragement.

Crowd were simply fantastic tonight, especially the covered end.
  • Was brilliant. Why on earth could we not do that against Millwall?

Anyone who says that the crowd does not play a significant part in the flow of a game at this level needs their head tested.
  • In the East, no booing at ht in fact loudly clapped off. Even though we were better second half the first half wasnt bad and if we had a decent finisher, or Yann playing, we'd have scored two or three.

Good support from all the stands not just the Covered End. Thought that was a bit much after the final whistle.
  • Forest fans where also surprised by our support. one bloke i know who is a forest fan said '' Charlton's support was first class. and that probably helped spur your team on. the response from your fans at 1 - 0 down was the most supportive I have seen. Fair play to you deserved at least the point ''

alot of forest fans on there forum seem to think we deserved all three and also credited the atmosphere. We need to keep that going.. One game isn't good enough. gotta back the boys like that all the time.

Really enjoyable game though. Loved it
  • Chips down...heads up. Another Get Out of Jail performance. The home support was constant and passionate. I feared some of the boo boys might make a noise tonight, but thankfully they did not. The Covered End made clear its thoughts: CP: 100% support. This man must remain as manager. Tough times, undoubtedly. But we can, and will, overcome. More, please.
  • I thought all our supporters were up for it tonight and I am still awake as I have a very sore throat (East stand!).

Thought it was Cardiff all over again and when we scored I thought it was just our first, and it should have been with just a little rub of the green.

The crowd really can be the 12th man and even just clapping along makes a differance. Looking across to the West stand you could see them clapping as well and the players in the middle must hear and see this.

As for the boo boys? Please have some compassion for those with mental illnesses. Two chaps in the lav at half time thought 'our number 10 was the worst player to everwear our shirt'. The fact that they did not even know his name says volumes. They were aged about 50. See what I mean - memory shot!

That was probably Prothero & Slater :-)
  • We could hear you constantly on the Forest commentary, brought tears to our eyes, well done to the covered end and all other noisies.
  • Evening games always have a better atmosphere. Sometimes on a Saturday it`s hard to get up for it in the first half especially but this Saturday against Blackpool let`s have it loud and proud! Play like that every week and we will be flying up the table!

Everyone`s confidence will now be a lot higher and the players and management will be in no doubt that the support are fully behind them!
  • Great support and we were unlucky not to get our full rewards with a win. Let's keep up the positive support on Saturday.
  • Why are night games so much better for atmosphere?

I hope we can repeat it on Saturday.
  • Cos most have had a few beers Brendan

Much prefer a night game cracking atmosphere last night
  • Best atmosphere for quite some time, bloody loved it, and great support from all that attended. Echo the quality over quantity comment from @stig.

Was a few of the usual numpties in NU that booed at half-time, but were immediately drowned out by clapping and support so duly piped down pretty quickly.

Roll on the next game and hopefully more of the same from the Valley faithful. COYA!!!!
  • I think the expectancy to get a hammering tied in with the atmosphere a night match seems to bring got the crowd going. Not condoning the 'Boo boys' for one minute but it does frustrate me when you watch those sort of 'kitchen sink and all' performances like last night and wonder why we can't do that every time?

We were the 12th man/woman (PC) and the support was superb.

Throat gone, hands sore, (shouting and clapping - nothing sexual) on to Saturday!!

    COYR's!!!!!!!!!!!

We didn't do it against Millwall because the players gave us nothing to be positive and shout about. The crowd last night reacted to what was a good performance from the off besides a goalkeeping error.

The atmosphere is good at The Valley when the team plays well. This seems far more likely than the crowd causing the team to play well to me.
  • I don't get why we can't do it more often? Last night and Cardiff last season had a similar rally call pre-match, yet against a rival, even midweek the atmosphere is appalling.
