Hamer 5 At fault for the goal. I am sorry Ben I saw that coming why didn't you? His kicking is hopeful with Yann, pointless without. Good job he was fairly quite as he seemed half a second behind where he should be in his reactions.
Wilson 6.5 Last night summed him, He worked hard, got forward well, played in some good balls, then at times he gets sloppy and seems to switch off. More good than bad though.
Morrison 7.5 Very reliable, Ben should be paying half is wages
Wood 7.5 Ditto above, little shaky to start, but was soon into it
Wiggins 7 Better still not his old self. Seems to shy away from anything physical and as a result loses the ball nearly every time he is challenged.
Stephens 7 Again much better, much sharper. Like others around him as the game went on the confidence seemed to flow back into him
Cousins 8 Now lets get this straight. Cousins is the 36 year experienced campaigner in our mid field? No that's Gower, Cousins is 19, he just plays like that, held it together beautifully.
Gower 7 Didn't do a great deal wrong, but what's the point of an old head that brings no leadership, play Hughes, he wants it so bad it hurts. The opposition mid field mostly.
Harriott 7 Bit in and out, but made some good runs and put some good balls into the box.
Church 6.5 Never really got into it, fluffed his lines in front of goal.
Sordell 7 All the points are for his performance in the last 55 mins. Up to that point he was completely useless. However second half he was a real handful for the Forest defence, could have scored more, perhaps should have?

Crowd 10 That's what I love about football.

Hamer - 6 To be fair to Ben, if we had a single player not named Yann who could actually win headers, his distribution would look much better!
Wilson - 7.5 An assist and a good clearance off the line, well played Sergeant.
    Morrison - 7
Wood - 8 Cort won't be walking straight back into the team if Wood keeps this up
Wiggins - 6.5 Some good crosses, and some mucking about losing the ball in the final 3rd. Where has the rampaging deadly Wiggins of 2011 gone?
    Stephens - 7.5
Cousins - 8 MOTM. Never stopped running. Potentially a bigger, faster Hughes, which I mean as a compliment!
Gower - 7 Simple and effective, though not much penetration or drive. Some good tackles though.
    Harriott - 7
Church - 6.5 Put himself about, not hugely influential or effective sadly, though Forest's #25 looked a very good defender.
Sordell - 7.5 with one of those points for a well taken, BWP-style finish.

Harriott -- 5. Headles chicken. Left Wilson way too exposed at times. Went for the dramatic finish when needed some exposure. Looks to me to have gone backwards in his development but suspect his role tonight confused him as much as it did me.

Sounds like it confused you. Wasn't his job to back Wilson up.

Hamer 6 Does not command his area at all
Wilson 8 Great game all round
    Morrison 7 Still error prone
Wood 8.5 He looks a real bargain
Wiggins 7 Some great crosses which better strikers would have snapped up
Stephens 8.5 Best game for a long time
Cousins 8.5 The real deal, a proper footballer, Scott Parker anyone?
Gower 7 Kept it ticking over
Harriott 7 Tried a bit too hard, more composure needed
Church 6,5 Should be a 3rd choice striker
Sordell 6.5 Looked a lot better after he scored

    Hughes 8 a real impact

Powell 8.5 He pulled a new diamond formation out of the hat and got a performance from a team which had 5 of its top players missing, outstanding!! With better strikers we would have won by 2-3 goals

    Hamer- 6 ok

    Wilson- 7 very solid

Morrison-7 Solid apart from a poor backpass

    Wood- 7 Solid

    Wiggins- 7 getting back

Stephens- 8.5 MOTM I thought he was terrific yesterday

Cousins-8 This boy will go far - silly challenge for free kick - but not sure it was a foul - was fouled by Forest throughout the game that says he was a handful.

Gower-6 A couple of nice touches but not the right player for this team for me.

Harriot- 8 Defenders don't enjoy playing against him

Church-8 Put in a shift and troubled them

    Sordell-7.5 Getting there

I though Hughes looked class for his short cameo

We were unlucky not to win that one.

    edited October 2013
Hamer: 6 - Felt he was at fault for his goal though his distribution was slightly better (Hit a good long ball to Wiggins in the first half) felt the Forest striker staying next to him was the reason for his slowness and is something we should equally be doing.

Wilson: 7 - Got an assist for the goal, didnt see much of him in the first half (as in the East Stand) but he was brilliant attacking in the second.

Morrison: 6 - Didnt see him lose a header often last night, strong and commanding at the back... Should have scored at the end (God knows why he didnt put his head through it instead of aiming at someone who said he's got a big head in the stands, sorry Morro its true lol!)

Wood: 7 - Have been very impressed with him of late, like how he brought the ball out of defence trying to set someone up rather than hoofing it forward or playing sideways

Stephens: 8 - He seems afraid to get stuck in sometimes but last night was all over their Midfielders, if he continues like that then we've some player (Unfortunately can we see that happening?)

Cousins: 8.5 - This kid is class a real box-2-box midfielder, remember watching him at Doncaster and he doesnt lose his head when on the ball, just so calm and pick out the simple pass (Cant be dropped now)

Gower: 7 - Best performance I've seen from him in a red shirt

Sordell: 6 - Agree with Vol, you either love him or hate him, took his goal well but...

Church: 7 - I like this guy, runs his heart out and deserves more goals (Dont know where his shooting boots have gone though)

Hamer 6 - Maybe shot down here but Reid was not looking to score and thought he was a little unlucky.
Wilson 7 - Defended well and got forward.
Morrison 6.5 - Dodgiest of the defenders, did not look comfortable on the ball.
Wood 8 - Won most things in the air. Looked solid.
Wiggins 7 - Definitely lost some pace came into the game more in the second half.
Stephens 7 - Frustrating player because he obviously has lots of ability which he shows in flashes, but does pick wrong options.
Cousins 8.5 - Immense last night. Broke up play well and passed well. Even though he was holding, has such an engine he can get box to box.
Gower 6 - Diamond system does not suit him as he is not mobile enough.
Harriott 6 - Tried hard but his forte is running a fullbacks which is hard to do at the tip of the diamond.
Church 6 - Not his best game
Sordell 7 - Goal gave him a boost which he will hopefully take forward now. Worked hard last night.

Hamer - 6 (got caught out with the goal. should be more confident in collecting the ball in the air)
    Wilson - 8
Morrison - 7 (played well but made the wrong decision in not using his head at the backpost.)
Wood - 9 MOM (just ruled it)
    Wiggins - 7
Stephens - 8 (free to move forward a bit more, which suites him more)
    Cousins - 8
    Gower - 7
Harriott - 6 (had the energy but I think he would of been more of a threat if he played more on the wing.)
    Church - 6
    Sordell - 6

Hamer 5 culpable for goal and still doesn't communicate with his defenders
Wilson 7 he always drops a few clangers but this was his best show for a while & saved a goal
Morrison 6 not really troubled by toothless forest and if only he'd used his head at the end...
Wood 8 excellent game - he is really slow tho
Wiggins 7 getting back to his old self & enjoyed the space forest gave him
Stephens 7 an imposter surely? unrecognisable from the charlatan we know - keep it up DS
Cousins 8 shaky start but very good overall - the sort of diamond shape really suited him
Gower 7 ran out of steam but nullified forest well
Harriott 6 unstinting in his efforts and full of confidence but zero end product his pace should be lethal
Church 7 relentless effort even after he'd been clobbered but no service
Sordell 5 I was ready to drive him back to bolton at halftime after a performance that plumbed new depths even for him - took his goal well and was a different person afterwards - almost looked like a footballer - we need the 2nd half version of MS the first half version should be put down - Millwall are right he does look like a fish (out of water until the 50th minute)

Hughes 7 made a real difference when he came on retained possession and always positive
Pigott too late to make an impact

Powell 7 square pegs in round holes and yet another new formation made for a shaky start but he made the best of what's available, substitutions still take too long especially replacing the crocked Church. Was it genius or luck that Sordell was kept on after halftime when surely Stewart must have been expecting a runout?

I have praised CP, but must now damn him. 10 minutes to go, and Forest on the ropes. Time to finish them off! So, as a last substitution replace Harriott with...Dervite? At 1-1, why not bring on Stewart to use his pace, and have a real blast at them?

Agree it was odd to bring Dervite on for Harriott but to be fair it was in injury time not 10 minutes to go
