It's an interesting situation - in Natl League South, Chelmsford's style of play - in a play off situation - is very effective. They soak you up, and frustrate a side that wants to play the ball on the ground. To overcome them you have to be either a) a long ball team with centre forwards better than their centre backs (unlikely TBH), or b) a footballing side that can play and pass its way around them
Unfortunately, Darts did not possess sufficient of the latter, and we are not a long ball side
If Stringer sets up Chelmsford the right way, then it could (and I stress could) be a difficult day for fleet
Anyway, Saturday off for me now - off to Dungeness with wife and our faithful springer spaniel Scooby for fish and chips and a relaxing time ;-)
Hey chipper - I now have a free Saturday (no play off final yadda yadda) - so if you fancy meeting up I'll be on the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway with Scooby (Springer Spaniel) - circa 1pm - probs get train from Hythe up to Dungeness, then walk to Pilot Inn for fish and chips
Went to the Darts v Chelmsford match, as said before Darts edged 1st half but Chelmsford were much better in the 2nd. Darts didn't have enough players supporting thier centre forward, no one to win the 2nd ball when it was played long. Entertaining game and a fair result in the end.

A lot of good people at the club IMHO ...Dave Archer, BDL and a certain Mr Varney ( +possibly others I don't know about )
And you still haven't come to me on the connection between Maidenhead and the carry on films
BTW you missed my winking face at the end of my post re a fleet victory ;-)
All I am asking is some answers to some 'questions'
It's not complex
You wouldn't be a very good fish.....
I'm so upset
We can debate the finer points of Kentish footie
BTW look at my post of 5.17pm - perfectly reasoned account of the situation - not 'peddling crap'
