Phoenix lost 5-3 at home to Hornchurch in the FA CUP, that's the advantage of knowing the players, bet 365 were offering 10/11 on Hornchurch and when I got there and heard the team news I lumped on.Too many injuries for Phoenix.
I saw Ebbsfleet lose to Maidstone 1-0 at home. Maidstone were a very awkward team to play but Ebbsfleet looked a class better for the first 30 minutes. Maidstone deservedly score midway through the second half and clung on as Ebbsfleet woke up at the end from a long sleep. Danny Haynes came on as a sub for Ebbsfleet and besides one decent cross looked ordinary and not particularly fit for a 27 year old.
Was there trouble last night at park view? A CP fan (spit) I work with reckons it was quite bad!!
I didn't see any. Was stood right by the barrier behind the goal and there was some funny back and forth chanting between the two sets of fans.
Second half it rained so I moved to the stand. When we got our second I noticed some Bromley fans ran over to the barrier to take the mick but didn't see any actual issues.
A few bottles & cans were chucked into the Bromley fans at the end of the game and a few mouthy kids giving to them outside (behind the safety of the police)

When Bromley scored the second goal, one of their "ultras" lobbed a toilet roll into the Welling fans. This was met with several bottles flying backwards and forwards and much surging on either side of the segregation cloth.
A steward took a whack and was led away with what looked like a bloody nose.
It was basically two groups of 15-16 year olds playing hooligans. They made some "attempts" to get at each other, but as soon as the police turned up a big gap opened up on the Bromley side where the "ultras" had been standing.
Was classic Palace afterwards. Was standing at the 51 bus stop in Hook Lane when the "ultras" walked back towards the station giving it. Giving it with a police escort on foot and a van following them. The chief object of their anger appeared to be some road signs and Barclays Bank. Absolute clowns.
Haha I was stood by the barrier in the first half and a Bromley fan in his mid forties in front of me returned from the bog with the remaining quarter of a roll of bog roll. (Jovial guys, not aggro guys)
I'm guessing he threw it in a jokey way and then the kids on both sides thought it was a call to arms rather than a funny flashback to the days where bog rolls used to get lobbed about when goals went in.
A group of about fifteen neutral 12 year-old chavs decided to go along to the game and pretend to be new-found Welling ultras and acted like complete bellends thinking they were hard throwing coke bottles at the Bromley section.. that was the only aggro

They will do it against the wrong set of fans and take a hiding.

Exactly what I said last night mate, it wouldn't take much!

I suspect the Bromley lot weren't up at Tranmere last Saturday strutting round like Danny Dyer.

The Ravens deserved the three points. Great night

Got a feeling that I know the bloke in his 40s!
