unbelievable that a group of supporters come up with this to make a bit of noise and 3 of the first 6 comments are negative. Go for it lads.

Not really, just negative against crap chants....

This makes "Danny Shittu its what we do" sound positively Shakespearean....
  • dont sing it then. its not hard.

    Oh come off it!

I really disliked the chant at first but, as I'm sure others may have experienced, it's jammed in my head now.

We've done our job properly then!
  • Oh for the love of god!

Didn't realise we had so many Michael Jacksons, Elton Johns, Maurice Gibbs & flipping John Lennons on here.

It's a football song which I'm led to believe was created by a Scottish club. Of course it's not going to make much sense!

Well done one & all for bringing it to the table. I sang it constantly in the West Stand on Tuesday night whilst banging the empty seat next to me & by the end a few around me even joined in.

    Sing up Charlton!

I noticed that. I think I saw G shaking his head in embarrassment ;o)
Lol probably. Think he'd be used to it by now :-D
  • Looking forward to hearing this tomorrow afternoon. :-)
  • What minute is it going to kick off in then tomorrow?
  • I could not get to sleep on Tuesday night as I had this song running around my head. Greatat the football but at 3am not so much..
  • This was the best part of the game today. Loving it

  • I still don't understand the 'I've followed on' bit (followed the perhaps?)but does sound decent.

Me neither but I've just decided to hear it as "followed 'em" and sing that. It's a good chant though and I was a bit disappointed that more people didn't join in. Mind you there wasn't a lot to sing about today!

  • It does make sense though, if you think about it. You're following on the family tradition of supporting your team.

"Follow on from something, to happen after something, and often as the next part or stage of it.

Following on from last year's success, we'll be offering other similar courses.

What I'm going to say follows on from what Elizabeth was saying.

    Sorry to be anal :-)

  • Great song, just hope it doesn't go the way of so many other songs and the speed just gets quicker and quicker every time we sing it.

    Agreed.

  • TBF that was a League cup 1st round game, but agree it's not great, but hey, let me show you one when it's a proper game.

That seems to be the go to video for any Wednesday fan. Do you count this one occasion as part of your massive club history?
  • How did it sound from other parts of the ground? (Ie West and East)
  • It sounded good from the part of the East Stand near the North, especially early in the second half. But nothing like as strong as when you lot are in the Lower North. I tried singing along and some clapped along but it hasn't really caught on yet round me.
  • Leicester singing it today. Every season brings a new wave of songs that loads of clubs seem to copy, generally involving some sort of continental twang. Not a fan. sorry if that makes me negative.

  • I like it, Its better than some others...
  • anything with no swearing, no racist undertones, no homophobic undertones etc is fine by me however puerile it may be which this isn't. If only we could stop that bloody Adams Family chant.

The songs a 10. The people that sung it were 10. It just that not many people did. More sang at Bournemouth.
Our vocal support at home really is piss poor most of the time & always has been :-(

    NB I always sing.

Saturday was terrible though it didn't help that the drum had a hole put in it after 10 minutes. If the drum is going loud (which it is most of the time) then the crowd tend to get going much better. Looking for a massive improvement atmosphere wise against Doncaster.
  • The amount of people standing helped the atmosphere. And no one died of

The players have to do their part as well against doncaster if the atmosphere is to improve. After the first 10 mins the atmosphere is dictated by their performance in my opinion.

That's very true but at the same time if we're not singing for them then they might feel demotivated. I've seen worse performances from us with a much better atmosphere.

If you watched Leicester Leeds the other day, it finished 0-0 and the Leeds fans sung non stop the whole game and they were very loud too! Don't see why we can't be like that.
