Harriott, Jenkinson and Solly were all unproven at one point.
true, but you're talking about going into a season with 1 proven experienced striker. It's ok having a young unproven player competing with someone else, but you're being stupid.
I'm going to sit on the fence with this one , i havent got a clue, CP knows best, thats what we're paying him for, i'm going to be a B.O.G (boring old git)
Nowhere near as injury prone as many are making out. Yes he gets a lot of knocks, but he has played in most games in some way, shape or form this season. You will NOT get someone of his quality for cheaper money.
The only reason I can think of as to why people would want Fuller to go is because of the wages he is supposedly on. But then again, these are the same people who think we should "spend 2 or 3 million in the Summer", as if it just grows on trees!
Evina -stay Waggy- Stay Kerkar- Will finance cab if needed Dervite- Stay Taylor- Stay Haynes- Stay BWP- Go Fuller- Stay one more year Cort- Stay Harriott- Stay Sullivan- Go Hughes- Stay one more year
Fuller is getting on but it's obvious he can still be a right nuisance at Championship level and on his day a match winner (Bolton). He can frustrate at times but tell me what player particularly flair players don't. We won't be in for many players with Ricky's ability so we must retain him if we possibly can.
Evina: Stay - Good back-up with potential. Wagstaff: Stay - Decent enough squad player, versatile and from the youth. Kerkar: Go - Not good enough, in my opinion. Dervite: Stay - Good player, also fairly young and versatile. Taylor: Go - Just don't need him anymore. Haynes: Stay - Really good player, maybe too injury prone, but the potential is there. Wouldn't be on big wages. BWP: Go - Not made the step up. Fuller: Go - Too expensive for what he does, we need a top striker next season and will need his wage towards that. Cort: Stay - Done well this season, same again next year. Harriott: Stay - He's imrpessed me, lots of potential and from the youth too (always a plus). Sullivan: Go - Not good enough. Hughes: Stay - Does his role well and is a great professional which you can't have enough of.
With sales and players out of contract and no money, can see our starting 11 looking like this next season:
Button
Wilson Taylor Cort Evina
Pritchard Hughes Jackson Kerkar
Haynes Smith
Hamer to Brighton Solly to west ham Wiggins to west Brom Morrison to Celtic Harriott to Palarse Kerms to Celtic Fuller released and signs on to Palarse
Can see everyone on small wages staying another year or two even if they aren't first teamers, we need reserves in case of injury (which after this year Powell will realise).
Free to say Cort and Taylor should go, but if Morrison and Dervite get injured we'd be screwed.
Spoke to Waggy, Cedy and Dutch before the game yesterday. Both Waggy and Cedy desperately want to play 1st team football and I reckon they will both be off in the summer. DH is gutted that his injuries have blighted his season and has a year left on his contract but does not expect to be poached by Di Canio who trained the nuts off him at Swindon :0) Three smashing lads.
Comments
