  • Might very well be, I don’t think they have any Vault City glasses in the Kentish belle (well, I’ve never had one anyway)

    Should have gone to Wetherspoons
  • I was in a bar down St Swithins lane last week, Cannon St.  I ordered a pint of some lager, it was £6.50 while waiting for mates... and I actually thought to myself, well that's not too bad, as I paid £7.30 for a pint in the Cock and Woolpack the previous week.  Was feeling quite smug.

Should have stopped there really, wasn't feeling so smug when we settled the final bill.

Going out in town is becoming just for the privileged.

It's not so bad when you're on $200k

Blimey, its only £6.75 a pint in the Spurs stadium for a Cat A game.  Granted we've got the brewery in the stadium but thats the Levy tax on top!

  • €2.50 for a pint of Sant Miguel in Cala D’Or. Lovely stuff
  • £2 for a 600ml bottle of horrible lager over here in sunny Brazil, beggars cannot be choosers I suppose.
Although I did get clobbered for £8 for a can of Guinness in the Irish bar a few months back :'(
  • I visited The Antelope in Surbiton last night. They normally give 10% discount to CAMRA members but don't on Mondays. They have "Cask Monday", all cask beers at £3.50 a pint. I had no idea and was very happy as it was my round! Great proper pub as well.

I shouldn't think you take 8 quid out with you
Certainly no more than £20's worth.

Ladies and Gents, join a decent social club.
There quite a few local ones that are little gems.

In a few you can still play pool and get a game of darts in as well.
