  • £7.50 for a Guinness in Mulligans in Manchester yesterday. I’m used to paying half of that in Yorkshire.
  • If you're happy to pay £9.40 for a pint because that's not expensive to you, then you're likely not going to go to Weatherspoons.
I did occasionally go in to them at the airport but now I'm a brewdog man if flying from Gatwick or just use the bar they have at City.
Sorry guys dont want any one getting the wrong idea about me thinking im a snob or anything, thats only if i have travelled on short notice and cant get in to the lounge.

Don’t all your bookings come with guaranteed lounge access? Mine do.
On occasion I have to travel at very short notice and i don't wish to burden the PA with getting me in to a lounge, as mentioned im a super humble guy. Yes i know i could get in to No.1 or aspire lounges but for me they are the wetherspoons of airport lounges. I go for the super secret VVVVIP lounges that dont advertise.
I assume you do not drink tea or coffee takeaway as you must have it in a bone china cup.
Like i have the time to sit around for tea and coffee, money never sleeps.

That's madness but they have a huge amount of hype around them. Went there before our Carabao Cup game against united a couple years back.

It was about that time that it was recommended as the best pint in the UK. We had a few in there before the cup game, it was a nice pint, but I’ve just as nice elsewhere.

True. Just meant the little one didn't get to see Father Christmas as I wanted another beer.
  • Had a couple of very nice pints of Norwegian Pale for £5 each at a place called the Craft Republic near Barry Station in South Wales. It was, allegedly, brewed in Stavanger in Norway. I suspect it would be at least £10 over there!
  • Teddington  hardly the cheapest part of town.  Agreeable backstreet boozer, The Builders Arms and a nice pint Silent Night golden ale for only £4.90

Paid £10 for a 500ml can of this the other week, which is the first time I’ve paid £10 or more for a beer. Was lovely tbf but not £10 worth of lovely.

    £10.00 and it’s in a can!!!
