Yeah I wondered why they all started streaming out from about 82 minutes, then I tried to get the train to Lewes and understood. It was a bit of a drag, and would've felt a whole lot worse if we'd have lost.
Brighton's problem, is the same problem they've had for a while, which is they are a good finisher (Glenn Murray leaving hasn't helped) away from being a top 2 or a cert for the play offs.
As others have said, Dervite and Hughes were immense, Hamer made some great saves, including that one in injury time that was one of the best i've seen this season. Would've perhaps liked to have seen Haynes come on with 10-15 mins left to try and stretch them on the break but i can see why Powell didn't change it.
Impressed with the stadium, the facilities etc, not impressed with the atmosphere though, very quiet for 28k following a team on the up.
Harriott is getting noticed though, on our train back to London we got chatting to a guy who was apparently a Newcastle scout and was there to watch him. I thought he was chatting b*llocks at first but this guy knew enough about us and pretty much every young player going and answered every question we threw at him to convince us all he was genuine. What surprised me though is that he doesn't think Solly is good enough for the prem. Said we'll get an idea on saturday of how good Solly is because apparently Leeds have a right back (Byram) who in his opinion will be the England right back in 2-3 years time.

Did anybody see that kid for Leeds at the weekend, Chris Dawson? Looks a hell of a player. Didn't notice Byram especially.
Echo everyone's thoughts ( well, 99.9%, Golfie!) that this was another great away performance from the lads. On the edge of my padded seat for 90+ minutes- not always due to their attacking, mind you as we had our moments and carved out several decent chances of our own. How could you not enjoy watching a recently promoted team with no money to invest in the "window" compete against the top six South coasters ? Surely this was designated as a "grind out a result/point" game from the start and that's what we achieved...with knobs on.
All I will say to our very own Victor M is you missed April Fool's Day by 24 hours....
Well done to all concerned, both on & off the pitch . Bring on Leeds!!!!
Stayed down last night and travelled straight to work for my first day in the office in 2 weeks! seriously flagging at the moment, but thoroughly enjoyed yesterday.
A really great team performance, well disciplined and don't think any of them let their levels drop though the game. Perhaps Wilson was a little off the pace, but I wouldn't begrudge any off them a big pat on the back this morning.
One of those oft-talked about great 0-0 games and whilst you could see the quality of Brighton and the way they are so comfortable on the ball, I think we did ourselves proud. I did think we could have tried Haynes or Fuller up top towards the end as Yann took a few knocks and a bit of speed or guile from either may have got us a bit more out of the game.
Stayed back afterwards and had a pint, so the trains back weren't too bad afterwards.
All-in-all, a great point and looking forward to a Colin-less Leeds!! COYR :-)
He likes cricket and indeed posted appreciatively about England's rearguard action in the last test against New Zealand. That obviously was no bunfest of fours and sixes!
For Charlton this season staying out of the bottom 3 is paramount which Golfie knows as well as I do.
Hence a point last night, just as England needed not to lose in the cricket, was crucial to maintain some sort of cushion and I would expect Golfie, as a longstanding season ticket holder who also travels away more often than not, to appreciate the achievement and post accordingly.
I don't buy into the he is a miserable git no mattter what mantra of some.
I'm pleased and encouraged to hear the comments from those that attended yesterday. How I wished the players put the same performance in against the Spanners.
Think maybe Golfie took out his frustrations on CL re the travel problems last night. I've been able to sleep on it, and from being quite annoyed at how hard it was to get to and away from the ground last night, i would like to say that it was a pleasant experience and we earned a hard fought point - a good rearguard action against a quality side. The stadium was great, food was good, Harveys on tap, and maybe a whole heap of clubs could look at the Brighton model in terms of how they treat away fans - i felt no aggression, and felt that the 'customer service' was very good. All they need to do is find a great big field for everyone to park in, and it would be a great footballing experience. Took the scenic route home via seafront (and fish and chips !) along the A27, and got home circa 12. 1 more point towards safety - i think 1 more win might be enough now, as i cant see Brizzle coming back, and with 54 points, Udd would need to win 3 out of their last 6 to get above us because of their far inferior goal diff, which i cant see them doing. Also, from what i recall, Pboro have a tough run-in. Nearly there. PS. What a talent we have with Harriott !

Thought they both had good games to be fair, thought Leeds looked the better team but were not very good. suprised they dont get goals too, i dont think we should under estimate Leeds at all.
Suprised he has said Byram future England star and doesn't rate Solly?? doesn't make a lot of sense, Byram does look good, but maybe im just being biast but there is more to Solly's game and he is a better player from what i've seen
Oh, and also, quite a pivotal game for me personally. My 8 year-old doesnt go to a lot of games as he lives abroad, but he turned around to me after the game and asked..'Where are WE in the league' Made me think about it and then brought a big smile to my face - he's been 'Charltonised' ! Although he did also say to me in the second half ' Why are Charlton playing rubbish' when we were penned into our own half for about 10 mins.
listened to the BBC London commentary and it is clear that they gave everything, we can't ask for more. Nice to hear Steve Brown being so complimentary, he has been critical in the past, with some justification.Hopefully they can keep this up and put relegation fears beyond doubt
and terrible for him I know but Wolves have lost Ebanks-Blake and (probably) Ikeme for the rest of the season. Top scorer and first choice goalie in one week. Can they sustain their good form now? I think I'd be very glum if I was a Wolves supporter. Not because of this, just because I was a Wolves supporter.
