I was on a coach and we managed to get out and past Falmer station by 9:50, suppose it depends how long it takes for all the supporters to get back on. Great stadium; clean toilets , lovely pies and I liked the little touches. Brilliant defensive performance just wish we would have had a bit more of an outlet as the ball just kept seem to come back at us.
True, as was I a few years ago. But the other few hundred teenagers at the ground tonight acted normally. Had a laugh and that yes, but these three were on another level.
Good defensive display. Relatively little going forward. Harriott impressed again. Thought Wilson and Pritchard were poor, Wiggins had a stinker too. Great save from Hamer at the end but their guy should have buried it. They missed a few very good chances, we escaped with a point that for grit and determination we deserved.
Still think the squad needs an overhaul if we have serious ambitions of promotion next season. Of today's starting 11 only five or six are good enough.
With the number of players out of contract that could happen naturally, the question is will w have the money to resign those we want and increase the quality over those we don't want
90 mins of boredom were livened up with 3 mins of excitment at the end when Stephens nearly nicked for us and then after our corner was cleareed they had 2 gilt-edged chances of their own, only to be denied by a great save by Hamer and then the post.
However, if this is the future of football, esp as an away team then you can keep it and I'll take up watching paint dry instead. £28 to watch my team defend from the front. 4-5-1 ended up 4-6-0 with our "striker" on the halfway line heading the ball forward to............. nobody, as he himself was the furthest man forward. I'm not knocking their effort (apart from Wilson who might as well not have played) as they all put in a shift - but their must be more to football than that. Thanks Powell, but thats my last away trip until you actually decide you want your team to score.
As for the Stadium.........non-plussed. looked ok but a bit souless and couldn't beleive there were 28,000 - not much noise at all.
As for park & ride...........forget it. Next time I think i'll walk - can't take any longer. It took an hour from leaving the ground to getting off the bus at our designated spot in Mill Rd. It then took an hour to get home to Bexley. Brighton/Amex or whoever runs & owns the stadium should be thankful that A) it wasn't p****g down as we queued up for our bus back. We weren't Millwall or Leeds or Birmingham fans, C) we are British and will stand in the freezing cold for almost an hour without complaining.....I wouldn't want to be a Brighton fan having to do that every home game and can't believe they hope to stage World Cup or other major sports events there.

Always welcome a bit of Golfie to "adjust" the mood on here....

Fuck me mate. I know you're normally a proper miserable **** at the best of times, but you've taken your own biscuit with that one.
Tell you what. If you really promise not to go to Barnsley then I will donate the price of your match ticket to the charity of your choice. Could really do without the likes of you ruining my day out.
You do realize we have one of the best away forms in the division don't you? (You probably do, but those chips aren't going to piss on themselves now are they?)
Strange....I stirred at 3.50am Thai time and thought "the game has finished, I must check the score". I stumbled out of bed and was delighted to find we had got a point. I went back to bed, woke up this morning but had to double check I hadn't dreamt the result was 0-0. Or, maybe, I did dream it and it was the result.
Getting away from the ground is a nightmare but the only major criticism I have. Away supporters were friendly - had a good chat with a couple of them.
Great point away to one of the better teams in the league congratulations to the team and especially CP who seems to get the boys motivated at the right time. A win on Saturday would be massive and hopefully we will see it. COYR!
Dervite and Hughes were outstanding. Hughes coming back onto the side has made a huge difference to the midfield. Goes about his job well, winning tackles, keeping it simple and allowing jacko to get forward more. Personally I hope he is rewarded with at least another year contact.
Good performance against a very good Brighton whoI expect to make the play offs. Thought Powell got his tactics spot on. Lovely ground and best pie I have had at a football ground.

This drivel ought to be treated with the usual contempt it deserves because everyone I spoke to during and after the match was delighted with the result which at this stage of the season was crucial at a top six side that would rip you apart if you tried to stand toe to toe with them with open attacking football. With the personnel at his disposal CP's tactics were spot on and it reminded me of some of our backs to the wall displays on the road in the Prem days at some of the big boys where we nicked a draw. An entertaining night's football where the result and defensive performance were just what was needed.
As for your travel problems you should have gone by coach, straight on it after the game nice and warm, on the motorway in 10 minutes, no problems at all, in doors by 11.15 hope that makes you feel better, it does me :-)

I was back at my car at Mill Road by 10.20 and back in West London by 11.30. All seemed fine to me.
Stop complaining and go and watch Man U or someone if you want us to destroy each team we play.
Comments from my Brighton season ticket holder boss:
"Don't get me wrong, Brighton were the better team but no one in the ground would've grumbled at any of the three possible results. Charlton were well organised, did their homework and defended well despite Brighton going with Vicente, Lua Lua, Buckley, Lopez, Ulloa and just McBridcutt in midfield.
Solly and Wiggins were unbelievably good and the main reason you got the draw and Kuszczak made a great save in the last few minutes when you could've won. Admittedly after that we hit the bar and post in injury time but walking away from the ground not one person I passed was upset at the outcome.
If we beat Leicester at home Saturday we have a 5-point cushion and that might be enough. Really good effort from the Charlton fans too. Nearly 2,000 there and a few nice mutual moments of hating Palace."
Really enjoyed the game and we deserved the point. Make no mistake, Brighton are a good team but we matched them with commitment and a willingness to get stuck in.
Charlton are a hard team to beat in these circumstances ... their biggest mid-week crowd at the Amex and a great turnout by Charton.
They do need to sort out the transport issues regarding the trains, had to leave 5 mins early to get the 9.37 train to brighton to get to work.couldnt believe how many home fans also left early to get this train.certainly wouldnt want to do that every game with score 0-0.

Only seven other pony teams between us and the drop now. They're all bound to win every game too.

Anyway, a good point, I would say.
I hope to feck someone at POF sucks the fun out of you as with a outlook on life it will be the only bit of fun you will have
How you can post that after the away record we have that is only bettered by hull and Cardiff is beyond me
Unless you are just taking the piss
still ended up at the Amex by 10 to 6.

Still think 55 points in the safety mark.

The ground is excellent.
Dervite solid in both games. For a Frenchman he is a very English centre half : - )
seriously golfie, you seem to get enough people to bite, but the whole 'im never impressed' act is wearing really thin.
