havn't read whole thread. Surely there is not a chance this will be called off, is there?

No chance. Just Lenny getting worried as usual.

Only if it snows or pitch freezes.

or if the pitch is littered with seats

    Unlikely to happen

  • Millwall can go down mathematically, as we all know. In addition, if they continue to accumulate points to the end of the season at exactly the same rate as they have done in the last ten games, then they will end up with 52 points. If all the other teams in positions 12 down (ie Charlton down) do the same, then Wolves and Peterboro will be relegated together with either Millwall or Derby, depending on goal difference. Charlton will end up with 57 points. (More detail in the thread on "Play-offs....still in with a shout???")

Or the pitch fails the Ben Hamer inspection

Are we confident that our match won't be postponed given the replay?

    Why would it be?

Millwall are just 3 points behind us with two games in hand.

If they can go down so can we and history would suggest that they are more likely than us to pick up 3 points on Saturday if the game is played given their Cup commitments.

Why won't the game be played?
Never heard of a Saturday game getting called off because a team has had to play on the Wednesday before.

Len Glover in unfounded worrying shocker!
    ;o)
We've had games put back before because of our opponents having replays or extra fixtures and requesting more time.

Millwall might well request it as this is a vital relegation six pointer.
    I'm not biting Len.

Are you going Saturday? Or are you going to lock yourself indoors and not venture out, just in case?
    ;o)
    I hope to be there...

There are no dates to rearrange it I. We've got 8 games in April. If we beat Blackburn make it 9 as Palace will be re-arranged to a Tuesday evening if possible.
    Hope not....
I don't know, I'd be happy for them to go to Wembley if it meant that they would be relegated at the end of the season!
Quite a few Millwall would be happy with that too I think. I guess the days out at Wembley stick out more in the memory than a few seasons in the championship. Been there so often over the past few years though it's losing it's appeal.

Really? I go to England games so I go to Wembley three or four tines a season and have done since since the new stadium opened. I still love going.

Having said that I don't have to watch so many plastic fans turn up claiming to be real fans when I go!
Really? I don't think it's that great there and I've been a few times. England games in particular are so souless and that band does my head in, surrounded by people with no real interest in the game. You talk abut plastics yet half the crowd at England games are plastics.

Quite a few Millwall would be happy with it because they don't bother going to league games anyway!

And on the topic of the new Wembley - agreed, awful stadium for atmosphere at England games. Not so much the band, but just the plastic feel to it all.
  • Wembley will surely liven up for the next 2 England games though. Ireland and Scotland.
  • Millwall now have 9 games to play in April. Their home game against the Nigels was to take place the semi final date. Their last two games will be against the Nigels and Derby. I think the odds of them being relegated must have shortened. Not sure being in Europe compensates playing in division 1.

Especially as they will have just the one game in Europe!

Besides they need to beat Wigan to get a place in Europe and I can't see that happening.
  • Sha la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la la la... etc :-)
  • I don't think Millwall will go down but if Bburn loose to Burnley this weekend I could see them go into free fall.
  • 30/04/2013 19:45 - We'll be sending them down.

We'll be spoiling your promotion/play off party more like. Huge game at night at The Den. Will you even manage to sell out the upper tier? I still laugh at your boxing day turnout a few years ago.

If we get to the FA Cup Final & Europe I'd take League 1, not as if we won't be there soon anyway.

  • What was their boxing day turnout? 900?

    "Get a room" ?

  • I hope that game on the 30th April ends as a draw and a point isn't good enough for either team.

    The Isle of Dogs?
  • What was there Boxing Day turnout sparrows
  • If I was Millwall, I'd be dreading this game. Our players are going to be so up for this -the only risk is they mustn't be too up for it and get sent off.
  • Yeah I'm sure they are trembling looking at our home record
  • That is the problem for them - If it was Barnsley or Burnley it would be a different matter but it is wounded animal syndrome.
  • Better get this thread dropped.
  • Better get this thread dropped.

With the results at the bottom, had we beaten them today they would be in real trouble!
