  • At the risk of joining the party late, I too need a ticket!

No elaborate story. Irish lad, recently moved to London, been to 4 CAFC games but not on membership.

Would love a ticket for the 16th.

    E-mailed the club, no success.
  • oh no not another one... ; )
  • How much would you actually pay for two tickets then? I could be persuaded..... My uni bills do need paying so I'm listening to what you have to offer :)

Ive sent you a private message, willing to pay and meet in person

Why don't you take the ticket stubs to the ground?
  • I suggested that to the ticket office and was told no. It needs to be on the membership card, apparently.
  • Seems a bit silly, hope you get tickets
  • Seems a bit silly, hope you get tickets

I replied pointing that out, but no response.

I only want the one. Would appreciate any help.
  • Spanner. End of.
  • Try Milton Keynes, they're playing at home. Only an hour on the train, they have a shiny new 22k stadium.
  • Aw come on, Stig, that's just being cruel. You'd get more atmosphere at Brentford.

Anybody who believes him just needs to speak to him on the phone, easy way to solve it.
  • great thread

    am still undecided

but if the guy is for real, i hope he gets tickets and gives us a report afterwards
  • Photographs (with mrs's in) of wherever he ends up on the saturday is the least we deserve having read all that
  • If the wedding is on Friday why are you not going out with the wedding guests till Saturday night and having a meal with the girlfriend Friday night ?!
  • I'm guessing cos Hindu weddings (is that what this one is) are a bit different to our traditional let's get battered occassions

This is really going to annoy Sir Henry of Righteousville.
  • My only surprise reading this thread is that there are now TWO different people who want to go and see two shit football teams hoof it up and down a beach of a football pitch...

    Oh, do grow up FFS.

Far from annoying me I'd be delighted as I've been suggesting that someone does this from page 1.

Back to ignore the troll mode
  • This fantastic thread has had me in stitches for 3 days now - thanks guys
  • BohemianAddick is genuine, he's posted on another thread about us in detail.

Jesus, we do have some absolute wankers on here.

    Care to elaborate Tom?

If this request is going to start causing grief between us on here like this and PL54/Henry then maybe it's time admin confirmed whether or not the bloke is posting from the US for starters? Then those more generously natured can follow up on their attempts to help in the knowledge that at least that part is true.
  • I find this entertaining lads. Have never been to a London derby and would love a ticket to the Charlton - Milwall one. Will be getting a season ticket next season anyway so no big deal if I miss out.

Despite there being a lot of teams in London, a lot are ruled out due to cost, travel, fan culture.

I have seen similar at home for Bohemians - Shamrock Rovers games. The clubs will only sell to club members and season ticket holders despite the grounds not being sold out for the games.
  • send £1000 to the Trust paypal account and I'll see if I can sort you some tickets out...

    ;)

    .
  • I take the Duke at face value and don't think they're really Millwall. If I had more than the one spare I would be inclined to let them use the tickets, and I would also be inclined to let them have my spare ticket for free rather than let it go to waste. Mr Duke if my single ticket is of any use then PM me.
I actually admire the dukes resiliance on this thread, and like some fellow fans the reaction by some of our fans to the bloke on here has made me cringe, when others have made me laugh.
  • derr at least get him to join..
  • It's quite likely that the "duke" is in the US. It doesn't mean that he's not Millwall or that his friends aren't Millwall.
No one can say for sure, so personally I think anyone would be stupid to get involved.
Enough people moan when Millwall get in our ends & it's almost certainly our fans letting them in.
Anyone that is willing to get him tickets & in return get their S/T taken away is taking an uneccessary chance imo.
  • I find it amazing that Millwall "fans" will fall over themselves to get tickets to an away derby game, but still struggle to muster 10K to a home game.

What I would do is enter the ground with them, take the season ticket back inside the turnstile, they then sit next to me, if there is trouble I would deal with it, if the club authorities got involved I would lie, and say they were a stranger who pitched up in that seat.

  • Look here is a post from 2009 on that website he posted. Its mainly about Spector but he also says when talking about West ham "since we were in the championship"

the guy obviously loves his football.
