Seems a lot of unneccessary hassle to me. If you get found out, Charlton can take away your S/T. If you take your seats together & they do kick off, others may say you arrived together & so you obviously got him in. If you split up on the way in, he won't be sitting with you. How do you know, when you do get him in, he won't just laugh in your face & "bowl off " :-)
You have little to gain, other than an act of kindness & a lot to lose.
I find it amazing that Millwall "fans" will fall over themselves to get tickets to an away derby game, but still struggle to muster 10K to a home game.
This.
Take a look at these 'away fan photos' type of accounts appearing on twitter, instagram, facebook etc..
Millwall appearing often with 100 fans or less. Barnsley,Leeds,Boro for example. Not easy games to get to granted, but for a club that bangs on about its "passionate support" these are poor turn-outs surely?!
You lot seriously think this fella is Millwall? What a stupid wind up it would be and a long drawn out process to get tickets when it's easier to do through other means.

How much would you actually pay for two tickets then? I could be persuaded..... My uni bills do need paying so I'm listening to what you have to offer
Ive sent you a private message, willing to pay and meet in person
This is really going to annoy Sir Henry of Righteousville.
Oh, do grow up FFS.
Far from annoying me I'd be delighted as I've been suggesting that someone does this from page 1.
Back to ignore the troll mode
My point dear SHoR, is that someone has offered to sell tickets at a premium price and I recollect you shared your views on such dastardly activity previously.
But if you did not then I apologise; let the free-market-economy good times roll.
PL54, wasn't Henry fulminating about people trying to rip off their fellow Charlton fans by charging them over the odds for tickets? Maybe he doesn't feel tourists deserve the same consideration.
If the wedding is on Friday why are you not going out with the wedding guests till Saturday night and having a meal with the girlfriend Friday night ?!
the wedding is a bit of an odd one. my friend, the groom, is chinese and lives in NYC. the bride is hindu and lives in london. they are having one wedding in london on friday morning followed by lunch at the temple (shree ghanapathy) but no real reception. since a few americans are flying over for the wedding they decided to setup drinks on saturday night for everyone (at a place called dirty martini which i was told is near hanover square, you should all feel free to come out for a drink then). then in april the bride is coming over here and they are having a more proper wedding which will include a recepiton afterwards. sorry, cant invite you guys to that one
If you do end up having to get tickets from a tout or 'scalper' then the best place probably isn't by the Sam Bartram statue. Touting is illegal here so if there are any tickets floating about, they won't be at the club's main entrance.
The best place may be around the club shop, I'd say at the top of Floyd Road but there's likely to be a crap load of police around that area.
i have had a few offers of 1 and 2 tickets, looking at the best way to consolidate these tickets and get all three of us into the stadium.
thank you everyone for your help and the laughter.
i will happily report back with my thoughts on the match and a picture. even though im a west ham supporter, since you are playing millwall that day you can guarantee im supporting charlton!

Well it won't be a sell out, so if you've had offers of single tickets here and there then take the offer (make sure they are in the same stand) and then just find 3 spare seats together.

are all of the stands separate or are any connected?
its nil points from me-----a poor effort even from a Bermondsey Pikey-------------poor.
thanks for the credit but is it perhaps possible that just once somebody is telling the truth about their intentions?
i went to footymad and posted on the charlton forum there and they directed me here. feel free to check out that site for confirmation.
You support West Ham ! and you are from the States ?! you've just blown it by saying you support West Ham anyway. From the States just rubber stamps it.
yes, i support West Ham. my family is from Essex originally. and yes i live in the states, more specifically New York. although my drivers license is from massachusetts which is where i went to school.
seems like this board has been awfully helpful so thanks all!

The away stand (south/jimmy seed stand) is seperate, but saying that, you cannot walk around the rest of the "connected" stands from stand to stand either.

so, i must make sure to get all the tickets in the same stand, correct?

& no Millwall fan would pretend to be west ham!

Question is, will anyone get him 2-3 tickets.

Charlton's American liason officer confirmed the enquiry as 100% genuine
