If there is a real risk of relegation and Powell can't turn it around, they will bring in somebody else.
We don't have the money for someone else. Anybody currently out of work would put a premium on their services if it's a relegation battle.
A few people at the weekend said Paul Hart might get the nod but I would think that would be to the detriment of our youth setup.
I still have faith in Chris Powell but something really does need to happen to stop the rot
Posted before reading the rest of the thread. As regards money....well if you think about it, the difference in revenue between League 1....around £4-5Million and the revenue in the CC (about £8-10 Million) really means we cannot afford not to pull the trigger if we continue losing. Paying compensation and laying out for a new manager pale into insignificance.
Paul Hart is great with the kids, but doesnt have a decent track record at league level, so if push comes to shove, I dont think he will fare any better.
Your final point Im 100% in agreement with....Peterborough and the next couple of games will possibly be a turning point in CP's career as I said on Saturday.
Why is it some posters equate criticism of Powell as that person wanting him sacked? Is CP above criticism? Of course he isn't. Just because a poster may question him does not mean they want him sacked. Why can some not understand this.

I agree Large, it does make me laugh how people cannot understand a simple post on a message board.
it is true to form LA i dont get it either the man is there to be shot at he put himself in the postition and is not above criticism at all that doesnt mean he should be shot from a barrell
I can't understand all this "I won't renew my season ticket if Powell gets the sack", it has been mentioned on several threads. True fans should support the club i.e. CAFC not any one individual.
People need to remember that two seasons ago we finished 13th in L1.
CP has moved us in the right direction and will continue to do so. There will be wobbles on the way and the football might not be pretty (lets be honest we dont have that many 'footballers' in the squad), but a bit of faith goes a long way.
He's still learning, which means he can be criticised if its constructive (just saying 'he got it wrong' is far too easy for a supporter), has a good up and coming coach in Matthews behind him and I honestly believe he has a board that supports him. It might not be financial support at the moment but i dont think their reaction to this poor form will be anywhere near as knee-jerk as some of our supporters.
4 points from the next two away games and all will be well again.
Wasnt the talk of a five year plan - promotion from league one at earliest opportunity which was achieved, then consolidation for a year to two then hopefully premiership. Following that plan I would say we are spot on - not exciting home form but the fans that go away are having a whale of a season. If anything does happen to Chris Powell, which i hope not, he will succeed (at probably a higher level) I think as long as we stay up then our problem in the next couple of years will be keeping him!

Insane thread.
Wanting him booted out is ridiculous.
