My why waggy was why take him off, apparently jacko will never play left mid again? So who the fuck shuts chris burke down at slash tag. At email shit sign at I'm so fucked off it's unbelieveable.
Could it not be Powell at fault? I know that is hard for some to comprehend but maybe, just maybe, its not Powell and maybe just maybe the eleven players ON THE FECKIN PITCH should have defended a little bit better.
And twiggyAddick wins the knee jerk over reaction blame anyone without any reason award for his get rid of Dyer comment.
Read what I said again, I said MAYBE, n the situation today you need someone to say to the players to keep calm or at least Reiterate what Powell was instructing, dyer did neither, just kinda stood back, I remember merv did well at enforcement of the message to the players, if you think its knee jerk than whatever but I have to say I'm not convinced
The sub was negative, but I am sure Powell did not tell Dervite to stand next to Cort. Dervite should have pushed up and broke up play. The players lost the points, but the sub changed their mindset.
Substitutions - sometimes they work and sometimes they do not. Everyone's a bloody expert about it. Two weeks ago Powell was being slated for not bringing Dervite on to shore it up. Apparently that would have seen the game out against Wednesday. Today he does it and is blamed for changing the mindset of the team. Substitutions are a gamble regardless of when and why they are made. I think the starting teams Powell is putting out are correct...he has shown the ability to tinker but not for tinkerings sake.
I'm not saying Powell out, but put it this way, if it was any manager but Powell everyone would be Calling for him to be sacked, which is why I'm not sure it's fair everyone jumps down choice's throat for giving his, understandable, opinion

Record points in L1 and 15th in champ with no money.
We played ok but our finishing is abysmal. We should have had the game won long before the end. It's very frustrating and disappointing but I don't think there is anyone particularly to blame tonight.

That's a good job whoever you are.
This. We are entitled to disagree with decisions and moan about Inge he says and does but anyone with two brain cells can see he is without doubt, the man for the job. I refuse to accept any thoughts of sacking him.
However, we should not sit back and invite balls into the box at the end of a game we've totally dominated.
After 2 weeks of not making substitutions at the right time that cos us 6 points another 2 points dropped because of a stupid substitution.
Why why why disrupt the formation and bring on a 5th defender and say "come on Birmingham have a go at us" ...had they had a shot on target in the entire game ?

I'm still recovering from the fact we scored after the 75th minute, for only the fourth time this season. And still only one Saturday home win. Whoever fault it is both stats are pathetic.

Sums it up pretty well for me.
How do we know what Powell did or didn't say to Dervite?
O Randy, unfortunately Powell is the person to blame every week.
Or every week we don't win. When we are doing well the like of Choice, scabby horse and Frontline9 seem to lose all internet access.
You may have noticed over the years that one of the best things about football is the difference of opinions which causes debate. If we all agreed there would be no debate and what a boring place the world would be, I'm entitled to my opinion and you yours - check how many of your threads I've criticised your opinion opposed to your shit stirring at every comment I make.
Powells success or failure will be measured at the end of the season, if we stay up that will be a success but along the way there are inevitably going to be more bones to pick out of negative factors, there always is.
Although I look young enough to be your son I've still got 32 years history supporting this club and a lot of it has been frustrating, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The bottom line is I support the club and love Charlton Athletic ...but it doesn't necessarily mean I have to think every manager, player or member of the board along the way is beyond constructive criticism.
I'm not saying I think he should be sacked, I just feel that being one of the longest serving club managers in this league there are mistakes regularly still being made and lessons that havn't been learnt, not just today. We should of had 9 points from the last 3 games FACT, we were in control of all 3 games and would be in the play offs ...now we have two tough away games and looking over our shoulder ?
Does anyone know how many points we have lost from a winning position this season ?
I remember last season Choice when you suddenly crawled out from where ever you'd been hiding after the Notts Co defeat.
You trotted out the same line about "credit at the end of the season" then but you never came back last May to congratulate Powell.
Your right that if we'd won the last three games we'd be in the play-offs.
Well if my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle and more importantly it show just how tight this division is and just how close Powell has got what is essentially a league one team with really doing something.
As for the self dilussion that you look like you could be my son, dream on mate. You really don't look a day under 40.
Bringing on Dervite made sense (although it looked like his non tracking back cost us the goal) but taking off Fuller for BWP, who can't hold up anything was nuts.
Good to see BWP bringing David Whyte's white undercrackers and huge arris back, giving it a retro 1990's feel.
sacking managers willy nilly never done any 1 any good.fucking hell were midtable.what do people expect.were doing alright.sack the guvnor cos weve lost 2 out of 3.i fucking deszpair with some people on here.
Exactly. Bringing dervite on was the right thing to do considering they had brang on zigic.
Imo i dont think bwp for fuller was a bad sub either. Bwp chased things down where fuller probably wouldnt have the legs. We still had yann on the pitch to hold things up.
So when Powell made what I would class as an attacking sub by bringing on Green (who has no defensive ability mentally and especially physically whatsoever) who then passes the ball from the edge of our area about 5 yards to their player which then leads to the goal. Does that then make it a defensive substitution or does it remain an attacking one. Funny how that sub/incident seems to have been overlooked.

Of course it's Powell fault, he did the same stupid sub after we went 1 nil up in the away match against Brum too. We dominated the game yesterday and didnt look in trouble one bit. As soon as we scored he basically said here you go Birmingham you have done fuck all all game but have the last 5 or 6 minutes on us try and score. He done the same at St Andrews bringing on Taylor as soon as we scored. We are too defensive minded and subs come on way too late. If its not a concern then why has it been brought up so many season. Before anyone says no I dont want Powell out, its just frustrating that we seem to make the same mistakes all the time most to do with late subs. He finally made a postive change yesterday at around the 70th minute mark when bringing on Green which was great. then he panicked and disrupted the team with minutes to go.

Today sounds like a hindsight moan.
The players need to take responsibilty in the last few minutes. Just concentrate.

Maybe it's karma? Maybe they just knicked him for being a tool?

Can we have a turning wicket for the next match?

Get Jimmy Anderson on loan!
Those that want him gone
Go for it but be realistic
Someone who will come in with no money no chance of money
More pricks for fans than I have ever seen at Charlton
Good luck to who ever it is
If David Attenborough was to do a documentary
"Sack Powell "
