Sorry but Palace don't even touch Millwall and Leeds when it comes to 'police harassment' - think someone is pulling your leg there Nige ;)

The OBs words not mine. Minutes of the meeting are available online somewhere.

And no, I don't agree with it. We have a few loons, like most clubs.

I expect you lot will be held in after the game and the corner of Holmesdale Rd, Park Rd to be blocked off for both sets of fans.

Last season the OB had the cheek to hold US back when Brighton visited. That didnt go down well.

Good to see you lot will sell out.

It's a shame you werent given more tickets, unforunately the old bill have restricted the number away tickets we (palace) can give you. If it were up to me or most other fans, we'd have given you the whole stand.

How are the OB down there these days since the formation of your new supporters group? I have read about a lot of Palace fans moaning they are well OTT. I would be interested to hear a sensible view on the situation as it appears that (again) football fans are being treated differently.
We've had a hell of a lot of problems with the OB at Selhurst. And it's not just the Holmesdale Fanatics that have been on the receiving end of heavy handed tactics. We've had stop and searches, cameras in people faces, I could go on about blatent lies that the OB have tried to put across, but I won't get into that. The worst part is the welcome we get from the police in other parts of the country!

The problem was so great that meetings were arranged with the police, club officials and fans. Nothing really was accomplished through the meeting but I have noticed the OB seem to have taken a step (a small step) back.

In my opinion, I think the OB are taking the new owners for a ride and trying to squeeze as much money out of the club as possible. Away fans were normally placed in the blocks closest to the Holmesdale Stand. To "save money", away fans have been moved to the other side of the Arthur Wait stand closer to the family stand - which is nice for them!

We've been advised that our fans are now in the same bracket as Cardiff, Leeds and Millwall! Shocking isnt it? But that's the OB for you.....

I see you lot caused a bit of a stir at the Den? You won't be getting the lower tier again!
Same bracket as Millwall, Cardiff and Leeds haha!

The few Palace that actually turn up in Charlton... Quick walk with heads down to and from the ground.

Don't you lot complain even if they look at you the wrong way? Remember when our stewards were treading on your toes.
  • give maestro a chance , he's not come on here saying where are you lot in the league, we're gonna beat you 5-0, has your left back stopped spinning from the first game
  • Welcome to the forum Maestro. Have you got a link to the minutes?

They are most probably aware of palace fans' penchant for attacking innocent men and children minding their own business on their way to games and trying to ensure the UK's population is kept safe from such hard nuts.

    No sympathy from me.

    ....and so it begins.

What was your quip "caused a bit of a stir at the den" about then if not Danny Dyer talk?

It shows that Palace fans are highly trained in evading police capture. It's not big & it's not clever performing in front of cameras.

You're the one going on about being in the same bracket as Millwall, Leeds and Cardiff. Was just pointing out you've done nothing of note off the pitch at Charlton unlike the other teams you mentioned...

    Joke club.

Clearly a sensible move for your own safety Maestro, a bit embarrassing though. Did you have a police escort from one of your pubs before the game to the ground as well or was that just when the Spanners were in town?
  • Really hate Palace. That is all.
  • There's no need to be horrid to maestro. Some of you are a bit Nigelist. Should be ashamed of yourselves.
  • anybody know if there are any tickets left for the palace game - OS still saying 160 left last friday. Need to get another junior ticket if possible.

  • 70 places left after today according to OS.
  • Red division meeting up london bridge.

Strange. I've spotted at least 2 threads on here asking 'who do you hate more, Palace or Millwall?'.

Theres no recent thread on any of the Palace boards I look at. And if there are, it's only between Millwall and Brighton; and the bandits from the south coast win hands down everytime.

I don't even think there is a single thread on the Palace boards about Charlton. Or at least none that I've noticed.

I don't mind you lot. Harmless club with a decent manager. Never had a problem with Charlton.

    Thankyou for not minding us.
If you look on your own forum prior to the game at the valley you will see lots of stuff. My personal favourite is 'how do I get to Charlton without shitting myself' or something like that.
