I know exactly who the bloke on twitter thinks he saw. It was a bloke with a colchester jacket who was taking notes about the game along side mark kinsella.
People do love to get excited about nothing don't they....
I was trying to make the distinction that Jenks was out of contract and we couldn't ask a transfer fee - and that we did well to get as much as we did just for a development fee.
Whoops, egg on face time! Though I agree, 1.2 million for an unproven youngster in league one is pretty good business. Even better for Arsenal as it turns out!

You're right, Newbie - Arsenal are already getting good value for him, and the lad has already been capped and highly rated in the England set up. Pleased for the lad that his dreams are coming true.
Just a crying shame that we couldn't have had seen him become part of a successful Charlton side first.
Looks like its Ipswich again.Their fan site TWTD reports.
Midfielder Anthony Wordsworth is still expected to complete his move from Colchester United to the Blues before the transfer window closes on Thursday. TWTD reported that the 24-year-old was set to become a Town player a fortnight ago.
There had seemed to be little progress on the deal in recent days but, according to the Colchester Gazette, the central midfielder, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is now talking personal terms regarding a £100,000 move to Portman Road.
Reckon the story is more scaremongering from Colchester, One last attempt at trying to get us to put a more substanial offer in as they're running out of time. If we can get him on the cheap, he'll be a great addition. But he's not any better than someone we might be able to find in the summer IMO.
I don't really understand why we're still talking about this. Every interview where this guy is mentioned, Powell makes it pretty clear that we aren't interested.

Powell has a track record for not being entirely honest when it comes to (potential) transfer dealings.

He was not aware that Fuller was available but yet managed to sort out a deal with him very quickly, suspicious.

I believe it's called keeping your cards close to your chest.

I have no problem with that at all. I was just pointing out why we should not necessarily believe everything The Great One tells the press.

Must be a big fan of Lady Gaga.
whoever "owns" the club is shelling out 6 million a year to keep us going.
CP has his squad fit and just has to get on with it.
