  • Smoke bombs in our crowd, flare on the pitch and out side mill wall chucking missiles at us in the escort, along all the estates to Surrey quays were some mill wall giving it, after most charlton and police left Surrey quays they was a fight and a few mill wall are heading for the bugle horn pub right now for a row

If this is true can you explain the source of your information as friends of mine have this pub and I would like to pass this on to them sooner rather than later.
  • In the lower tier today dogged display did not want to lose..Silly boy teenagers falling over each other to get at us , Pure comedy.. They need a good ball kicking down the valley...Millwall Pure Pure scum........

    exhibit A
  • For years we have run the Gaunlet there and had the piss taken

Today the piss was taken and we took it

The repercussions will run and run not just by the authorities

Line drawn today and it will not be let ride that's for sure

The return fixture is going to be intense I think and very very intimidating for most

But as a day it was a great one

And before the morale high ground is taken what about the mill wall that fronted up people with kids in a boozer in new cross before the game

    They have had it coming

The stories will be exaggerated but teams all over the country have been laughing at the piss being taken at the den today and that will annoy them for months
  • The bugles full of Millwall all the time anyway.

    Double this
  • Triple that,,,,
    Spot on D
They have laughed mocked, attacked supporters outside the north (without anybody backing them up) stormed their way into the ground and attacked our directors in our ground.
For 30 years I've been mocked by every Millwall fan I know, and most of them are my mates.
I got texts saying what's happened to you lot??
I wasn't there today by the way but well done anybody who stood up for themselves.

Not making any excuses but its why people go to away games - it give people the chance to do it . The smoke grenades are ok but I think the flare was a bit spur of the moment thing - dont mind it aslong as it only happens at 1 or 2 away games ( probably only see it again at palace away ) - agree with stupidity of throwing it near kids and some charlton fans are as bad as millwall , but hopefully this doesn't mean the rest of us innocent 'normal' addicks begin to get a reputation

An increasing number of our lot appear to regard flare throwing and family attacking hooligans as "proper" fans sadly.

Hopefully now they've found the Den they'll stay there and let Charlton remain as a boring family club

Did you go today or just doing your usual?

really? they just happened to have one on them.
  • D they honestly hate it we gave it to em and they ate it fucked off they think they have the god given right to say we are millwall we r ard well fuck you millwall u r a load of wankers
  • Just to keep everything in perspective this photo was taken at a recent Copenhagen derby I attended. The Brøndby "fans" set off numerous flares throughout the match and it's only by the grace of god that nobody was hurt. I was standing only yards away from where the photo was taken.

  • I hope all those who appear to be oh so proud of themselves for ripping up seats, throwing coins and lighting flares are not going to come on here all outraged when Millwall come and tear the Valley up.
  • I have waited for an away game like that for years.

We outsung them in the ground and stood toe to toe with them outside (until they started throwing bottles). To see some of them bouncing shouting "come on then, come on" was hilarious.

Usually I would say leave it when it comes to throwing flares/smoke bombs etc. but it really got up their scummy little noses and so for that I'm happy.

At the end of the day, we went there took the piss and gave the muggy little c***s something to think about. I'm happy.

I would like to say though, that the Police did a fantastic job after the game. Not only did they prevent any serious trouble by the stadium, but they managed to get 400-500 Charlton fans to Surrey Quays and on trains safely without any major incidents. They really earned their money today and for that I respect them.
  • The pleasures of being an 'away' fan at the game today? None, The pleasures of reading some comments in this thread by Charlton 'fans'? None.
Was in the upper tier, to the right of the goal. Had to stand in my 'seat' for 94 minutes, with a constant stream of 'fans' pushing past, coming in or going out, seemingly with no interest in the game as they never looked towards the pitch. The guy to my right spent most of the game pointing at the Dockers Stand and yelling in my ear 'Scum, and you know you are, etc...'- that really supports the team, doesn't it?
  • NLA bang on the money

I didn't go but people that were there have clearly said that Charlton fans threw one or more flares.

I think that is wrong which is an opinion I am entitled to regardless of whether or not I was there.

Sorry if my background as a "family type supporter" annoys you!

Actually scrub that apology! I'm proud of being a family club and as I've said maybe some of you have now found your spiritual home and should stay there.
  • There not their fathers sons ..

Sorry didn't make it clear , I don't think that they actually going to throw it hence it being lit right at the end with the majority of the ground already gone -taken more for the 'yeah I've got a flair ' rather than 'I'm gonna throw a flair on the pitch at the end ' -- I hate the fact that little old charlton did this but as I said can't see it happening again other than vs palace

Probably best not go next time.

  • A flare was thrown on the pitch at the end of a
Game not at anyone or in a stand

I have no issues with that in fact i loved it

Doesnt make me a hooligan or not a proud supporter of our family heritage

Just someone who was very proud of our fans sticking up for themselves and others
  • They are certainly are not nolly however i expect to see some of their fathers at the valley return
  • I think the last few posts have, to an extent, proved my point!
