Good luck Ade. Have a Hayes-like impact and you'll be well on your way.

  • That's brilliant news! It will be a test as they're a L2 club in need of goals!! Good luck!
  • I will watch this move closely, got big hopes for this kid.
  • Good level for him to learn. Struggling but that's the sort of club who need to take a punt on an untried striker.
  • good move, nice to see the younger loanees stay in league football for once
  • Be a decent test for him.
  • This is good news, right level, decent club, will hopefully get a chance to shine
  • Good news for all involved. Hopefully he'll see this as a reward for his hard work and good progress, which is what it is.

He'll get at least a couple of run outs for Charlton this season I reckon.
  • Fantastic - provided they actually play him. Hope so, because I think he could be a star in a year or two.
  • To me its extremely promising that his first loan is out to League 2 side rather than a non-league side. Suggests that there's something definitely there worth watching.
  • Figures after seeing Ainsworth at the u21 match in the week.

  • I wonder if he will score loads of goals for them, gets them out of the relegation zone then Charlton recalling him to sit on the bench leaving Wycombe without a goalscorer and eventually going down to the Blue sq prem. We couldnt do that to them again could we.

Well they have Gary Doherty at the back at the moment so they're probably cursing us anyway for giving him to them!

  • Good luck indeed. I can see this being akin to Jermaine Defoe's spell at Bournemouth before he burst into the big time albeit with West Ham.
  • Azeez is probably the most likely of his year group to do a Shelvey/Jenkinson/Solly and become a viable first team member I would say, so I hope this works out for all parties. Obviously he would not get into the team ahead of every one of Hulse, Fuller, Kermorgant, Haynes and BWP so a loan is a good way to get him playing.

Oh yeah forgot about him, We have basically destroyed Wycombe Wanderers, Hopefully Azeez can put things right ang bang in lods for them.

  • Good luck Azeez should get enough game time there to start here next season and fire us into the champions league
  • Good test for the young man, and we can see if he has the Minerals at that level.
  • bad news is that it is a big loss to the U21 side but guess it is also a chance for someone else to step up.

Prob asking a bit too much
  • Will be very interesting to see how he gets on.

bad news is that it is a big loss to the U21 side but guess it is also a chance for someone else to step up.

It's a youth loan, so we can still pick him for the U21s if we want to (last paragraph in the OS article).

True but hope he's playing for WWFC 1st team every game instead.

Once he is fit, perhaps we can get him back on loan?
  • They've lost Basey for the season too with a bad injury.

Pace apart both Basey and the Doc are decent at that level.
  • I am very pleased to hear this. I have a feeling that the lad is going to break through next season, wish him well.
  • Excellent news

Maybe they could take Morgan Fox to cover Basey as well ?

  • Thought i recognised the name. Was a few years below me and went to the same primary and secondary school. Basey, Azeez and George Porter at Burnley.

He can actually play first team football for Wycombe & U21 for us. Matt Fry did the same thing when we loaned him from Wham.
