So is south bermondsey closed that day ?

Is London Bridge to South Bermondsey affected or is this a windup?

  • The Montague Arms is good!
  • Gone now surely
  • It's walkable from surrey quays but far easier in a black cab

  • The Montague Arms is good!

Gone sadly. The landlord and landlady died a year or two ago - inherited by other family members who weren't interested in keeping it going.

I've heard from a reliable source that they put on bands on the occasional Sunday.
    Perhaps not...

Another proper pub put to the sword.

    Shame.

    Just walk from London Bridge?

I walked from Canada Water last time and it didn't take that long at all.

Not a bad shout to walk from Canada Water actually Tom.

A couple of decent pubs around there as well.

He knows it - and we know it. No amount of "singing" on a match thread changes the facts.
  • go by coach,much safer
  • Does this all mean that I will have to carry my blanket and thermos flask of bovril on the rail replacement bus service ? Dear oh Dear !!
  • Any suggestions where to drink? And where the most number of Charlton fans will probably drink due to this?

    Caulkers

Surrey quays way, will be drinking there then walking to the game!
  • To be honest the pubs are crap holes I would drink up London bridge caulkers is a dive
  • The coach last time was horrendous. No police escort coming out, and where does the driver take us? Past every bloody packed pub on the Old Kent Road, as if the result itself wasn't humiliating enough!

Not to mention the fact that three idiots actually tried breaking onto the coach.

Is Caulkers still there? I thought it was called the yellow room, or something like that now?
  • I know, IF we can all wear our best black clobber and we get enough of us, I'll get my six year old dyslexic nephew to knock up a banner at pre-school and we are sure to get a police escort to and from the ground, that will really be taking the piss and South London will be ours for ever, I will bring the sparklers!

Don't carry a thermos Brendan whatever you do. You will sussed straightaway. I'd also leave the blanket at home or stuff it up your jumper to make yourself look bigger/parry the blows.
  • The worst title of a thread ever! Makes it sound like you have a pack of tissue and some Vaseline waiting for the 13:47 into London bridge!
  • the 13.47 is cancelled
