I'm gonna hope for a draw with a 4-5-1 formation because Cardiff are flying. We have to stop them from scoring. this will be a boring game. Glad there is beer sold at the ground :-)
Unless SCP goes with the away formation/set up we're gonna get a tonking how many will depend on how much fun cardiff wanna have but not less than Nil - 3. Who SCP has to choose from for the necessary 4-1-4-1 ain't easy to predict. We can't expect good things from so many square pegs in round holes. We can't expect relatively young & inexperienced players to give of their best in 2 or 3 roles per game, just ask Dorian Dervite. If the execrable Stephens features before injury time Cardiff could go for double figures. We should go smthn like (subject to availability) Hamer; Solly Jackson Taylor Cort; Dervite; Haynes Pritchard Hollands Kerkar; Hulse. with cousins morrison green bover bwp probably on the bench. Haynes & Kerkar have to keep whitewash on their boots when we've got the ball and be back doubling up with Solly & JJ when the taffs have it. Any square pegs or loafers and we'll be lucky to get away with a 4 goal margin of defeat. It's already been posted but if the execrable stephens features before the 91st minute cardiff will be able to go for broke and SCP might as well hold up a sign saying "sorry haven't got a clue"
Not sure i agree with stigs line up but agree with his sentiments - we can't afford passengers at the moment - we need an 11 man backs to the walls battling performance hence why i'd keep bwp, Stephens and Jackson (not because of his mentality but the plain fact he is too slow) out of it and have some energy and workrate in the middle in Dervitte, Pritchard and Hollands. At the moment wea re falling between two stools and i think we need to just grind some results out for a while with 11 100%ers out there with the clear message - run and work til you drop and get the bloody crowd right back behind you.
4-5-1 for me, to give us a chance of anything. I would take a punt on Green, but he has got to stop wandering and work the wide line with the full back.
If we pack the midfield ala Leeds and Wolves we may get a result, otherwise it could be Boro all over again. It's up to CP to keep the shape and stay with it all game. I'm going for a shut up shop dour 0-0.
you've always got a chance of scoring against a defence that contains mark hudson !;-) we've just gotta go for it, we so need a (home) win - but more likely it will be a stop-the-rot type shut out performance, 0-0. COYR!
Not sure if this match will turn our season but we do have nothing to lose. A gallant close 2-0 defeat to lift the spirits. More to the point, who will be out next injured? Probably Solly or Morrison?
Fearing the worst ive even booked a evening off work for this! Well i booked it afer the blackpool win! Distant memories Just maybee we can pull somthing out the bag? Even a hard fought draw Come on u reds
A surprise win - if CP picks a side with shape and at least a bit of creativity.
I'd have 5 in mid or at least 5 between the front man and the back 4 in some form. I'd like Stephens in there maybe with Dervite and Pritch supporting. Green and Haynes on the flanks?
I'd like to see Taylor return as well.
I really think our squad can achieve mid table and obviously we are not as bad as the boro game. However, the home record speaks for itself and if CP don't get it right, we're down.
Does anyone know how the U21's lined up tonight? It might give us a clue as to who might start at LB tomorrow.

We have a squad decimated by injuries and I also have to agree with many on here that 4-5-1 would be a prudent set-up tonight....and if we can just find a little bit of luck then 1-0 or 2-1 addicks............match thread from 7.15
We were the better team against boro first half and should have been 3 1 up at half time but for woeful finishing. We should also have been playing against ten men as George friend should ,if the referee had been up to it,received a red card.that might have made the task a bit easier second half .there are only so many games where a combination of poor refereeing poor finishing poor team selection poor individual defensive errors and poor luck combine to create a perfect storm such as the second half against Boro.i fancy us to get at least some of those issues right today and perhaps ,while outside our control, some acceptable and possibly even good refereeing and linesman decisions to end an appalling run of luck on that issue: Charlton 1 Cardiff 1 .
Tonight may be the only game I want solly to go left back to take care of noone. Don't want to see kerkar there. But then I don't want to see morro go right back and I don't want to see a kid come in against the league leaders.

Solly
Morison
Cort
Jackson
Dervite
Pritchard
Stephens
Haynes
Kerkar
Hulse
4-5-1 with Haynes and Kerkar supporting Hulse going forward
.
(then again, as football is football, they will probably have 90% of the play & we'll sneak it 1-0)

Goes 4-5-1, but switches Solly back to left back, moves Morrison to right back and brings in Taylor to play alongside Cort.
Dervite sits in front with Stephens told to stay close. Pritchard told to run himself into the ground for sixty minutes.
Green and Kerkar told to get forward and support Hulse when they can.
Ben Hamer saves last minute penalty!!
Well, we can only hope!!

we're crap at home mate!
If anything I'd rather have solly at LB and play Pritchard RB
Basically I don't know what I want
