Yeah, that'd probably be a good idea. But the oppo wouldn't know what's hit 'em with that blaring out around the ground. It would like a goal headstart before we've even kicked off.
Of course, I love that track!! Just felt I was playing it a bit too much ;-)
Glovepup, is the best dj we have ever had as he plays an eclectic mix. Some clubs just fire out that RnB poo, love the fact he plays some Rock/Metal in amongst the pop.
Thanks for the kind words, I try to mix it up as you have young and old in the stadium.
The first one minute and seven seconds of 'When The Levee Breaks' has that kind of Kashmir/Dance of the Knights dramatic anticipatory feel that might sound good played loud at the Valley, played just after Into the Valley/Londons Calling and just before Red Red Robin. Of course five minutes with no music, just for the crowd to try to do the work leading up to the teams coming out may be a very good idea. Obviously RRR is not to be touched.
May I ask if it could be a bit less noisey until about 10mins to kick off. Want to talk to mates and kids want to watch the warm up. With hardly anyone in the stadium it is so loud you have to shout.
Admittedly, I don't go to as many games as I used to but the games with Sheff Utd last season and Wycombe was a complete disappointment when I went.
The music is not loud enough and people who say they want in quieter are a joke. We want to intimidate the opposition and music is the thing that gets everyone going! We never create enough noice from the fans for us to have 5 minutes silence before the teams come out!!!
I will be at Barnsley and really want a great atmosphere with up tempo songs before blasted out before kick off! It will be a full house so lets have it!

Deafening music doesn't intimidate anyone, it just annoys people trying to talk to each other. Indeed it can drown out 'spontaneous' singing. The old Den wasn't a scary place for opposition because they played loud music on the PA...
As a smoker who refuses to use the bogs for anything other than their intended use, I'm normally found lurking outside the ground until 5 mins before KO, topping up my nasty habit, so not really bothered about pre-match music.
I am however a captive audience during half-time...........................
Think we should have had the Smurf song played for Hartlepool - would have been good to see how they reacted - and the oompa lumpa song the previous season.
