I think you do a great job GP - what's the money like? ;-)

You used to play some crap cover of a Led Zep song GP - howsabout playing some real Zep?

I did? Don't recall, how far back is that going? I started doing the music not long after CP took over at the helm. Any suggestions of what Zep tracks?
Ah, must be a while since I've heard that abomination then. As for a suggested track, howsabout "Trampled Under Foot" - fairly short at 5' 37", or "Black Dog", which comes in at only 4'55"?

    Any chance of Gangnam style?

In the immortal words of Suggs..."you hum it and I'll smash yer face in"!!!

    ;-)
  • Just want to say I love fucking in the bushes by oasis coming on when the teams come out at half time.

Only works when the players do that thing where they run round the cones though makes it look better.

The Whigs hundred/million is a pretty good song to get people pumped
  • Londons calling is my favourite!
  • Due to lateness haven't noticed - are we still playing that brilliant Republica track prior to kick-off..?
  • London Calling and In to The Valley. Sorted.

    Now and then yes.

Any chance of Thunderstruck agaun please!

Of course, I love that track!! Just felt I was playing it a bit too much ;-)
Okay I'll settle for Back in Black or Highway to Hell as alternatives. Lovely jubbly.
Much as I like the song, not sure I want to be told just before kick off that I'm on the highway to hell - I've usually figured that out myself about 5 minutes into the game!

Maybe Shoot To Thrill more appropriate?!
Shoot To Thrill was played last season quite a bit as I recall. Would love to hear 'Let There Be Rock' or Whole Lotta Rosie' too!

The version of Kashmir is, I think, a special version Jimmy Page recorded with an orchestra.

Wasn't 'We're Gonna Win' by Bryan Adams played again recently after years of not hearing it?

Heavy Metal at football grounds is nothing new, Sheffield United ran out (and possibly still do) to Judas Priest's 'United' and I think Wednesday have taken the field to 'Wheels of Steel' by Saxon.

  • is this the thread where we can just randomly request music for pre match....sweet..... I think I’ll go with...."safety dance" by men without hats.

Love that song that goes right here , right now , is that Fat Boy Slim?

Yes FBS, gets played now and then.

  • The theme from 'The Contender' was always decent.

Glovepup, is the best dj we have ever had as he plays an eclectic mix. Some clubs just fire out that RnB poo, love the fact he plays some Rock/Metal in amongst the pop.

    news rock/metal's pony
  • Can we have Oops Up Side Your Head?
Can have hundreds of 'rowing boats'
  • A jimmy saville request I think I better leave right now

    Misty Mountain Hop.

  • I may have to be burnt at the stake but i feel any frenzy we are whipped into before kickoff is killed by the Red Red Robbin.
    Some Foo Fighters please.

Tie yourself to this pole while I get me matches Baldy

    winner
  • Red River Rock - Johnny & The Hurricanes. For those that don't know, a rock n roll version of Red River Valley. Got red and valley in there, two for the price of one...
  • Four In The Morning by Farren Young and Mouldy old Dough by Lietenant Pigeon please
  • So long as this thread is not a bid to get rid of Red, Red, Robin by stealth I don't mind too much what is played.

In my opinion though as the teams come out of the tunnel Red, Red, Robin is sacred. I hope any future Supporters' Trust would take that on board too.

Played it a few times last season.
  • Or just go to the pub and get into your seat for 2:59pm, sorted

    Yep. That's my tactic.

  • Ever pressed the wrong button when we score for the scoreboard graphics saying that it was a black player when actually it was a white player that got the goal? (I did!)
  • How about Kick Out The Jams by the MC5?

But that is why I like his choice, he plays it all

I don't press those buttons, that is left to someone else.

Thanks for the kind words, I try to mix it up as you have young and old in the stadium.
