i have a theory that because CP reportedly spent quite alot of money on Wilson he feels pressured by the board to play him which is affecting Evinas first team chances.
I am in the lets give Evina an opportunity camp as from the little I have seen of him I have been quite impressed and I agree that we lose Sollys attacking threat playing him on the left.
I have been impressed with Wilson though so would give him an opportunity to play him on the right midfield
Wilson RM, Evina LB and Jackson back at LM. That would allow both full backs to attack more and we would have better protection in midfield than we get with Kerkar / Green.
Solly & Wiggins attacking down the flanks was a massive plus for us last season.

Seems he done well last night, going by the commentary he didnt seem out of his depth and was getting up and supporting Kerkar. Hopefully keeps his place till Wiggins is back.
Put it this way, Diouf had to skip his breakfast. [When he tried his luck against Solly towards the end you saw why Solly has premiership quality. It will be very surprising if there isn't a premiership team in for Solly in January.]
Chris Powell finally puts him in against a well known ex-prem player at Elland Road which (although it wasn't), should have been a daunting place. Can't now see him being dropped before Wiggy returns. Many of the above posters got their wish and Chris Powell agreed with them.
Lets just forget all the players that got us in this league, green Hollands Stephens , wagstaff , Hughes . And others. Now the new players are here let's rubbish the rest . Typical. I'm sure cp does wot everyone on here moans about to keep hi job.

Who's rubbishing them ? Teams evolve. Get over it.

He should have been given his chance a few weeks ago, the game after the Wiggins injury (IMHO). Has he been tweeting again?
I dont think CP will play Evina at the moment, going on what he said at the ashford meeting. Especially against a premiership quality forward. He doesn't want to expose him just yet. He wants to do it when we have a couple of wins under our belt. Diouf will have him for breakfast.
CP did touch on the point that Evina was still young, and the response by someone in the crowd was that Solly is also young, to which CP replied there not the same player, Hinting that Solly is a much better player, or has a much better attitude.
I dont think we'll see Evina play, just the feeling I got from CP when asked about him. He didn't come across as having a lot of time for Evina. He did say he has spoken to him regarding him not playing, he didn't say what was said.
Ha ha plays one game and he's gonna be a star love it.
We do go over the top on here last season this team was gonna walk this league and they were all premiership players the fact is I feel we have enough about us to be a solid championship side at the moment when all fit
He did well after a shaky start. Previous performances haven't instilled confidence but he has the attributes to be a good attcking left back. I always think that rather than moan about not being in the team, you are better proving a manager wrong and opportunities to do that come in every game you play. A manager always wants to put out his best team so convince him.
As for Solly - yes unfortunately, clubs will be watching him and his stint at left back will only have impressed them more. I'm resigned to losing him, but hopefully we can hold the shartks off until the Summer. I haven't given up on the play offs yet - we just have to work out a way of playing that counters teams that are good a frustrating and we need a few decisions to go for us for a change.
In fairness,Ceddy has been very patient with Wiggy being one of our stand out players from last season.SCP should know when a left back will be ready and I understand why Solly covered there temporarily.
I'm glad Evina is now playing as I don't like right footed left backs or left footed right backs as a rule.I hope he gets a run of games now to see whether he can perform at this level and is worth a contract extension.
Indeed after Andre Santos's less than adequate performance last night maybe the Gunners should have retained him.

He hasn't played one game though has he. Does nobody remember seeing him play last year and an incredible season at oldham and wenger picking him up as a kid?!

At the start of last season I can't say I was all that impresed with Wiggins and Morrison but as the season went on they became better and better.

Although I do agree with the rest!
He's got a good touch and electric pace.
Evina has evidently not been considered ready - but Powell has recently praised his performances in the Development matches.
Ceddy is a work in progress and, as Richard J pointed out, now needs a run of games to settle in and build confidence.
Happy he got his chance and played well. Will be there until Wiggins returns and can push him for a starting place.
All good teams should have competition for places.
