Which is a worry - we've got to get something from this game and on Saturday, with Charlton, Derby and Ipswich all currently in the bottom five.
If we mess up these next two games, the table could look very unpleasant next weekend...
There will still be 39 games to go, so plenty of time. But we all know what it's like once you start falling behind. You're in for a long, hard season because playing catch-up can get very hard as team confidence and supporter morale fall...
On the other hand, three pts on Tuesday night and we're mid-table again. That doesn't make it a 'must win' game this early in the season. But even more than usual, it is a 'would desperately love to win' game!
Presumbaly CP will have had them watched, and know what threat they present down the right wing. This will help him decide which way to go. I have not seen Derby so have no idea.
Looking at how Rhoys went off and CP's post match comments, this will not be a quick fix solution. We're going to need somebody to play there for 7 games plus. It has to be Evina unless we get somebody pretty special on loan.
Yeah Evina is going to need a lot of help, certainly wouldn't try kerkar there and cook looked poor at getting back vs forest but then again derby aren't as good

Agreed, Mike.
If Evina starts at Derby, then you can bet your boots Jacko will play in front of him.
Evina's strength is his attacking play, pacy and direct on the overlap - which fits Powell's normal gameplan at fullback; Jacko knows when to sit and cover.

Gary Borrowdale ? .. not exactly 'special' but did a job for us 2 years ago .. he's a free agent .. but ex-Palace !!
Does look good, bring Kerm on to hold onto the win or hassle the defenders late on if we need a goal, Fuller and BWP needs to be tried as I could see it working if the midfield supply is good enough. Being harsh on Wilson but I don't like him as a player, unsettles me too much on the ball.
I can't see Powell changing it up that much though, no harm in trying... Green has a killer dead ball and with Fuller in the team that's needed. :-)
heard that wiggins has broken three bones in his foot and is out for 2-3 months
nah. Someone on the other thread was insisting Wiggins was a bottler and was faking it as he didn't fancy 90 minutes up against Zaha. Looks really injured to me, could see he was in a lot of pain.
Agree, Evina in at LB with Jackson in front of him. Both have a lot to prove and if both are terrible future chances will be limited for them. Fuller and BWP up top assuming Fuller can last? Just not sure re Green but then again why not? He deserves a chance after Friday?
