  • Hamer - 7 If that header had gone in he would have been in the history books forever. Didn't have much to do as every Palace cross went straight into his chest.
Solly - 6.5 Dealt with Zaha ok but struggled a little as the game wore on
Morrison - 7 Calm and collected on the ball. Utterly untrouble by Murray
Cort - 6.5 Solid. Little to do and did it well
Pritchard - 5 Seemed oddly tired and did offer much going forward or tracking back
Hollands - 4 Utterly anonymous whichis unusual for him. Needed to drop back and bring the ball out as Palace were bypassing the middle out to the wings
Stephens - 7 Brilliant with his passing and tackling in the first half but disappeared in the second.
Jackson - 5 Good crossing in the first, taken off early in the second. Didn't offer too much
Kermorgant - 5 Very quiet by his standards. Not much came from him
Wright Phillips - 6.5 Worked hard, ran hard. Scared Palace defenders when running at them and scored a perfectly good goal

Wilson - 6.5 Dealt with Bolasie well and put the ball into the box to cause trouble
Fuller - 6.5 Strong, brave. Unlucky not to score

    Wiggins n/a
Green n/a Can't give him a score but he was excellent and scared the hell out of them
  • Hamer 8 Looked very positive
    Solly 7
    Morrison 6.5
    Cort 7
    Pritchard 6
Hollands 5 Midfield in general was below par and their interlink was horrible
    Stephens 6
    Jackson 5
Kermorgant 5 Did see much of Yann
Wright Phillips 6 Disallowed goal but could be blamed for conceded goal

Wilson 6.5 Had nice touches but was nervy the first minutes he came on
Fuller 7 Proved a handful when he came on

    Wiggins n/a
    Green n/a
  • Hamer - 6 didn't have a lot to do as most of Palace's efforts were powder puff or over the bar, bit worried that he loses his head & isn't always the calming influence needed
Solly - 7 fought bravely & gamely up against Zaha- who will be off to a much bigger club like Fulham or Wigan soon :)
Morrison - 6 did OK, in general i though our defence looked quite solid under pressure apart from the goal, where their player was given far too much space (by BWP)
Cort - 6 same as Morrison, coped well with the pressure without ever looking threatening at the other end
    Pritchard - 5 lightweight, ineffectual
Hollands - 5 anonymous for long periods
Stephens - 6 flattered to decieve
Jackson - 5 too slow in my opinion, both wide men failed to help their full back partners too often, leaving them exposed
Kermorgant - 5 didnt think he won a single header all night - going to need a bit more guile than he has been showing so far
Wright Phillips - 7 thought he gave it his all & was cheated out of a perfectly good goal

Wilson - 7 impressive, looked stronger, calmer & more composed than pretty much all of his colleagues - distribution was good
Fuller 6 looked sharp at times, still a couple of games behind the pace, should start from now on

Wiggins n/a was given a torrid time by Zaha, was probably glad to get off
    Green n/a good little cameo
  • First time I've seen them this season:
    Hamer 8 Very impressed.
Solly 7 Fish out if water and kept Zaha at bay. Love his honesty too.
Morrison 6.5 bit troubled on the deck.
    Cort 7 headed everything clear.
Pritchard 6 tried hard but lacked quality.
Hollands 6 Same as pritch. Poss not champ standard
Stephens 6 can't see what everyone is raving about. He got caught in possession a lot and should have played in BWP instead of blasting over.
    Jackson 5 looks leggy.
Kermorgant 5 battled but not much quality.
Wright Phillips 7 Disallowed goal and ran his socks off.

Wilson 7 Really grew in confidence as game went on. Promising.
Fuller 7 Looked decent. The ball stuck. Time to rest Yann?

    Wiggins n/a
Green worth a starting place next time
  • Hamer - 6.5 - Little to do except pick the ball out of the net.
Solly - 6.5 - Solid defensively, but little going forward.
    Morrison - 7.5
Cort - 7.5 - The two CBs made up for a lot of errors.
Pritchard - 5 - Does not seem to feel comfortable in where he needs to be. Worked hard but too often caught between wing and centre.
Hollands - 5 - Again does not seem assured of where he should be.
Stephens - 6 - Good first half but causes problems when he picks the wrong option.
Jackson - 5.5 - Wish he was up to it at this level, but is not.
Kermorgant - 5 - Nothing like the performance that he has shown in the past.
Wright Phillips - Is having to do too much donkey work for the midfield when it ought to be the other way around.

Wilson - 7 - Looked solid, we actually looked better after he came on.
Fuller - 6.5 - Shows enough patience to get the ball down, which encourages others in the team to do the same.
  • *Watched on TV*

    Hamer - 6
    Solly - 6.5
    Morrison - 6.5
    Cort - 6.5
    Pritchard - 5
    Hollands - 5
    Stephens - 6
    Jackson - 5
    Kermorgant - 5
    Wright Phillips - 6

    Wilson - 6.5
    Fuller - 6.5

Goalie and back four were OK, Stephens was the best of the midfielders but that really isn't saying much, Yann didn't show up and BWP isn't getting any service at all.

Time for a reshuffle on Tuesday.
  • Hamer - 7 - Not his biggest fan, but I thought he did well tonight.
Solly - 7 - Played well on the left (remember the last time he did that against a rival? Did much better this time!) and made Zaha look a lot less threatening.
Morrison - 6.5 - Quite impressed with him.
    Cort - 6 - Yeah, alright
Pritchard - 5 - Tried hard, but wasn't enough of an influence as the game went on.
    Hollands - 5.5 - I mean... I don't know. He's played better.
Stephens - 7 - At times, when he got his foot on the ball, his touch and composure were first class.
Jackson - 5.5 - Apart from one good cross in the first half, I don't really remember him playing.
Kermorgant - 6 - Again, didn't have as much of an impact as usual, though still did the dirty work he always does.
Wright Phillips - 6.5 - Was quite impressed by his attitude and effort, and he deserved his perfectly legal legitimate goal. Could have maybe not stood there when Dickagoi chested it down and shot in acres of space though.

Wilson - 7 - Wasn't sure at first, but as the game went on, I liked him more and more. Except for that ludicrus shot right at the end, that just made me angry.
Fuller - 6.5 - Looked alright, I'm looking forward to him getting his fitness up and playing a bit more.

I wish we'd brought Green on earlier, as he showed a touch of class and lot of desire.
But my one question is - Why did our players keep running into each other?
  • Hamer 6
    Solly 6
    Morrison 6
    Cort 5
Pritchard 4 not good enough on the wing
    Hollands 5
    Stephens 5
Jackson 3 crap yet again. 5 out of 5 crap games. Legend though so lets play hime every game.
    Kermorgant 4
    Wright Phillips 4

Wilson 4 if we really did pay 400k for him then we have been mugged off big time.
    Fuller 5
  • Hamer - 7
    Solly - 7
    Morrison - 7
    Cort - 7
    Pritchard 5.5
    Hollands - 5.5
    Stephens - 5
    Jackson - 5
    Kermorgant - 6
    Wright Phillips - 6.5

    Wilson - 7
    Fuller - 7

    Wiggins n/a
    Green n/a

Overall I think defense stood firm very good positioning we limited a lot of chances, our main problem lies in Midfield where neither Jackson or Pritchard are natural wingers we Hollands and Stephens got overrun. When we play the 4-3-3 we look so much better the last 15 mins piled on the pressure exactly the same at Forest. Either Green, Wagstaff or Kerkar need to be considered for the wide positions.

  • Can't believe that any of you think Wilson deserves anything above 4. Hopelessly out of his depth.

Shocking performance all round but we spunked near on half a million on a blue square south standard player.
  • Solly - 6.5 - Solid defensively, but little going forward.

    Are you taking the piss?

Agreed Gazza not much between the two teams and a draw would have been a fairer result but hey thats football. Badly need a wide man from the off who can cross a ball and last the pace.

  • Hamer 7 solid enough
Solly 6.5 played well out of position
    Morrison 7.5 held it together
    Cort 7 played well
Pritchard 3 out played and out of his depth
Hollands 4 not his best game
Stephens 6.5 best game I have seen from him
Jackson 4 Oh dear, how much longer can he go on at this level
    Kermorgant 5 Did he play?
Wright Phillips 6 Ran and tried his best

    Wilson 7 looks promising
Fuller 6.5 looks promising ( ha ha )

  • Hamer 7 - So nearly our goal scoring hero!
Solly 6.5 - Wish he'd stayed at RB as it took a while for him to adjust.
Morrison 6.5 - Done his job
    Cort 6.5 - Did well I thought
Pritchard 5 - Surprisingly off the pace. Not a right midfielder.
Hollands 5.5 - Is better than that....isn't he?
Stephens 7.5 - Seemed up for it.
Jackson 5 - Really needs to step his game up.
Kermorgant 6 - Very quiet by his standards.
Wright Phillips 6 - He tried.

Wilson 5.5 - Not impressed to be honest, hope he improves.
Fuller 6 - Was expecting better, fluffed a great chance too.

Wiggins n/a (real shame he departed so early)
Green n/a (but liked his cameo)

  • Hamer - 7 nearly the hero
Solly - 7 did well on the left, Zaha was much quieter after Wiggins went off
    Morrison - 6.5
Cort - 7 our main aeriel threat going forward
    Pritchard - 4
    Hollands - 5
    Stephens - 6
    Jackson - 4
    Kermorgant - 5
    Wright Phillips - 6

    Wilson - 5.5
    Fuller - 6

Wiggins n/a was poor before he went off, he seems to struggle against former clubs...
    Green n/a looked dangerous
  • Hamer 7.5
    Solly 6.5
    Morrison 7.0
Cort 7.5 mom. Defensively sound and caused probs up front at set pieces.
    Pritchard 5.5
    Hollands 6.0
Stephens 7.00 looked a class above anyone else in mid. Sees a pass and makes it, which others don't. So glas he is still here.
Jackson 5.5 So sad to watch.
Kermorgant 6.5 they had him sussed with blokers etc. We need a plan B.
Wright Phillips 6.5 showed pace and determination. Good goal!

Wilson 6.5 put the ball on Fullers foot and we nearly scored. What was that shot at the end about. Not bad and better than the press he has had.
Fuller 6.5 should start next match. Sorry Kermit.

    Wiggins n/a
Green n/a, I am in the Waggy camp, but he was very good when he came on.should start the next game.

Hamer 7 - Great header cleared off the line and looked assured all game
Solly 7.5 - Adapted to his switch well and looked good all game
    Morrison - 7
    Cort -7
Pritchard - 5.5 Looks like Championship is a step too far.
Hollands - 6 not totally outclassed but struggled to impose himself
Stephens - 6.5 Had a couple of periods where he looked class but then was anonymous
Jackson - 5.5 Sorry Jacko a division too high
Kermorgant - 5.5 has not imposed himself against the higher level centre halves.
Wright Phillips - 6.5 Looked sharpe but never really had a chance come his way
Wilson - 6 worked hard but defensively is really poor / a liability, however going forward looked good.
    Fuller - 7 Classy

    Wiggins n/a
    Green n/a
