Went upto Birmingham in 81, reckon we had 300-350 there, was far better on the last day of the 98 season....the 0-0 when Illic was superb, and the Brum fans were "absolutely gutted", at missing out to Sheff Utd for a play-off place.
Worth bearing in mind that was probably Brightons first trip there in a fair few years. They probably took decent support everywhere last year, not that I'm denying they have a very good away support.
Hastings,
Illic was immence that day and they really didn't take missing out well did they. Cracking atmosphere that day mind.

Always a good atmosphere up Birmingham....hostile but good if you know what I mean....wife has family from Chelmsley Wood...they support "the Villa" but are very much in the minority in this part of Brum.
Birmingham in 98 was a great result but the going home was scary. I saw several Addicks take a few punches and the walk along the wire fence to leave was not good. Still we didn't see Jasper Carrot singing at full time like he did at half time

never pissed off when we make decent sized sales ,for a club with our home following , don't see what the problem is with making a comment on away followings if they're not decent but you weirdos don't like the truth if it doesn't say everything is great ... freak show
1.7k will be more than respectable 2k impressive
I actually happen to agree our away following can sometimes be on the poor sile de, I just don't need to post about it every single time I get the chance, like some freak shows.
Now that Elfsborg has given some train advice and commented on the away numbers, I feel the season is ready to start. ;-)
Hope that the advice on the trains helps. These away games are expensive so hope people are happy with saving quite a few quid at times on the advance purchases. Beware of SKY changing dates though, don't blame me!

Scum brung 1,064 for a Sunday 12.30 pm kick off in September ....reasonable for a minge of a club
Brighton brought 2,067 Saturday in October... proper support
