Sone Aluko & Rhys McCabe have rejected their new Rangers contracts. So where will they be off to now. #RFC

Are the Scottish laws regarding TUPE the same as nk those for England and Wales?
Yes, Alex Salmond hasn't been crowned just yet.
Scots law has always been different to that of England and Wales, but not in terms of TUPE, which I think came from the EC.
  • The video in itself was impressive enough, but the fan comments accompanying it were all extremely complimentary. If we want him, I think we'll have to get in quick because I cannot believe that there will not be a lot of other clubs chasing his signature
  • Palace in for him now.

Seriously can we leave out all the tedious legal talk until it looks like we might actually sign him!
  • Apparently Palace have also agreed a fee for Ross McCormack if you believe Twitter

Well Palace are being linked with some good players and Watford are being linked with some good layers.

    Palace. This Palace?

    I'm really worried now!
  • Ross McCormack £1m... so maybe Scannell was about clearing some funds to improve the squad and not about desperately needing to sell?

I thought that was pretty obvious? Palace are fine for money. He wasn't even playing for them was he, showed promise but didn't push on my nigel mate said

Hate to say it but McCormack is a fantastic signing at this level, surprised a premier league team isn't in for him
  • Does anybody else think the cavalier way we dumped his sister, and rest of our womens team, might count against us?

Good point, I'm not sure how that went down, did we just dump them or did we try and help them out re new clubs etc ? I guess how that worked will influence his thoughts.

FFS we were one of the firdt clubs to offer women professional terms, I'm sure it never stacked up financially. I doubt any L1 sides pay their women and I'm sure Aluko and her teammates had the option to play on as amateurs. We have nothing to be ashamed of in promoting women"s football.

Would be a great addition to the squad, if we could manage to lure him here. He looks more dangerous on the right wing, I take it he can play either wing?

Would be amazed if this one comes off. Will be at least half a dozen Championship clubs looking at him, some from the clubs expecting to be in the mix.

You're right, but if it was your sister that was involved how she was treated by Charlton would probably majorly influence your thoughts about them regardless of the circumstances, wouldn't it ?

Hopefully him being born in London may sway the vote in our direction. If it's financial then I am sure we can compete with Palarse.

So wiki is wrong then? Says Hounslow

"Aluko was born in London[1] and brought up from a young age in Birmingham" from wiki

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sone_Aluko

    and on Rangers website

    http://www.rangers.co.uk/first-team-profile/player/35471

Someone's got it wrong. How does it go? D'oh?? lol

the idea that if its on wikipedia its probably wrong and that "anyone" can change it is an urban myth

I saw a programme where Wikipedia was compared to The Encyclopaedia Britannica. In the little study that they did, they found error rates to be roughly the same. Wiki had more errors as a result of being written incorrectly, but EB had more errors as a result of being out of date. The big difference though is that you won't find the likes of Sone Aluko in EB.

Omatsone "Sone" Aluko (born 19 February 1989) is a professional footballer who currently claims to be a free agent after rejecting to transfer his registration to the Rangers newco[1]. He will join former FA Premier League side Charlton Athletic, who are now in the Championship, pending the relevant legal procedures.

    Bloody optimists!
