Cardiff could undergo a 'rebranding'

  • They mortgaged the clubs future by way over spending in the last few years... Putting the new owner so much in the driving seat that he could demand anything...

    That was the mistake...
  • They should have changed their nickname to the red rumped swallows, which is essentially a blue bird like they've already got, with a red patch and is an occasional visitor to these shores. It would only take a minor alteration to the old badge.
    A missed opportunity.

Do we have a twitcher amoungst us??? I thought we were all train spotters
  • Why were Cardiff named after a bird that doesn't live in this country anyway? Couldn't they have called themselves the Blue Tits instead?
  • Funny but a bit OTT with the C word, no need really
  • Entertaining watch!
  • Southampton Kit

Not quite a re-branding, but I would be pretty peeved if I was a Southampton fan!
  • It seemed to have worked!

More bizarre actions from the owner, how long til they implode?

"No football experience and has been helping out with jobs around the stadium". You could not make it up.
  • How did the Kazakstani get a work permit?
  • It's all getting very Venky's very quickly.

This follows on from the bonus row and the players saying they don't want Tan in the dressing room anymore.
  • Jeebus! What a dildo!

Seems like something to potentially force Mackay out,. It wouldn't surprise me if he was gone in a few weeks, or at least until they go on a dodgy run.

Then Tan will get some 'higher-profile' manager to keep them safe, & say that Malky had taken them as far as he could, & we thank him for all he has done, but we want to be aiming for Europe. (Isn't that the usual bollocks from most ego-maniacal, new Top Flight Chairmen?).
  • You get that sort of stuff from fans too.
  • Looks like an attempt to get Malky Mackay to resign. My bet is he knows it and will and hang on for his two and half years contract payment. Bet on Cardiff losing the next few games.
  • I love how they use every article as a sky bet advert
  • Di canio is available...
  • I know a few Cardiff fans here at Uni and they're not happy about this, worried it might start going a bit Blackburn-y. The guy who's lost his job helped them get some really good signings in, Caulker and Demel are doing really well, so I'm told.
  • Indeed, our head office is at Maindy, quite a few voices of discontent from there. Video conference tomorrow could be good, may get round to work speak eventually!

  • Suicide...is it a word too strong?I thought they had a decent chance of staying up but now???...

By the way,why is this thread in the Charlton category?
  • Mackay left us because he didn't like the way our previous owner Bassini was working (believe me he was a real crook!) so I cannot see him being happy about being told what to do and who to work with at all.

Particularly as he has clearly brought success through his own methods and with his own staff.

  • This could be a way of 'constructively dismissing' Mackay, make him angry and unwanted in the hope that he'll walk, though he has said that he won't walk .. and who could blame him ? .. there's too much compensation at stake.
I amongst many was surprised when the Saints sacked Adkins and brought in (to me at least) a total unknown who is doing a terrific job at Southampton. Perhaps there is method in the perceived madness of Mr Tan, tan the (Red) Cardiff man

Southampton got rid of Adkins then gave the new bloke more cash. Who is to say adkins would not have done just as well. With his track record at Southampton to that point i would not have bet against it.

Reading have a heavy backer, he's not doing as great as Reading would expect there...

Bit early to be judging him. Not saying he'll rip the championship apart or not, but next season will be his time to prove himself..............
