  • RIght, cracking night, got a bit merry but sobered up as the night went on. Great to see some people I havent seen for a while.
Also it seems that a few of the players and family check this site quite often to see the fans view on how things are.
Most popular comment was "who are you lot slagging off this week?"

    Bed time
    ta ra
Good thing I'm always so nice.

    I LOVE THEM ALL.

(Especially Hamer and JJ. And Waggy... And Solly.)
  • I sent a couple of mates in my place (they sat on Hollands and Taylor's table) and they echoed the above comments of what a great bunch of lads they were with an overwhelming feeling of how much the players got on and the respect they have for the manager.
  • Oi love child. Which bit about.... let me check them photos before you post don't you understand?

The red robin... could you not make tonight? There was also another poster I think didn't make it? Will need to check who.
  • Looks like everyone had loads of fun. Am a bit jealous that I missed the dinner this year!
  • Didnt realise it was last night...hope you all had a great night. Now where's our sponsored shirts....
  • Come on Buckshee, you've got more to say than that : - )
Here we go again, you were not there, we are sworn to secrecy blah blah blah
If I did it would be in the next seasons kit thread ;)
Spill the beans, will it be a shirt? Is it red by any chance?

new shirt is red , away is black. Happy now?

  • Special night that it's great to see lots of lifers get a chance to attend.
B no need to worry about the pics hon, looking fab xxxx
Clear to see everyone had a lovely time!

  • A very good evening. Thanks Brenda for all the organising.
Was on a table with Dale Stephens and Jordan Cousins. It was Jordan's first sponsors do and he was a bit shy, but a very likeable young man. Dale Stephens was a top host and very chatty. All the lads are really looking forward to Vegas but they dont know where they are staying. A good deal brokered through the season if they got promoted. Good chat with Chris Solly and Rhoys Wiggins but Rhoys is a bit miffed Solly's got a song and he hasn't, especially as he is bigger than Chris :) and from the horses mouth Solly is not 5 foot three. Waggie was impressed Colin Walsh Love Child was getting up before six this morning for work and commented now thats a poper job then said the players have all got Wednesday off.

All the players were very approachable and very chatty and there was such a feel good factor.

Now for them rules about next years tickets ... those who went last night get first refusal?
    Gets my vote :)

  • Ah that's crushing if 2 people couldn't make it. I would have loved to have been there.
  • I can only echo what everyone else has said. It was a great night with great people.
The players were all top drawer and only to happy to have a chat and sign shirts all night.

A couple of players did confirm Pixie Lott is a go..Yessss!!

Icing on the cake for me was a message from Sir Chris Powell to my kids on my phone and then got a private message from Danny Green to my daughter (Who is in love with him ;-) when I played it to her this morning she went all shy and hid her face....LOL

Brenda you are a Star thanks for everything x
  • Blimey... Morrison's pec is trying to burst thru his shirt.
    He's just pleased to see you : - )

  • Brilliant evening and great to catch up with all!
  • Forgot to add, i sung oh ahhh kermorgant to the man himself.
Received quite a few strange looks at that moment
  • Looks like you all had a great night, good to read some of the comments re what the players are like and think.

Looking at the amount of photos she is in and the fact that where's Olly seems to have droppd off the page I think our "photo shoppers" need to start a where's Curb_it :-)
  • Think you got a few strange looks last night to be honest C.Walsh'sLoveChild ;-) Did you find your beer btw? Great to meet you again x
  • Don't think so esm. Behave.

Dazzler it was only red robin I think that didn't make it. Or I didn't meet him anyway.

Met lots of new lifers tho which was great. All nice people.

Oh large I found out some gossip. They all packed their disco gear on the carlisle trip just in case they went up so they could all get changed at nearest house and go straight up.

  • Also told Dale Stevens about what the atmosphere will be like against C.P and Millwall he said he is looking forward to it!

We spoke about Dale's thunder bolt against Bury in the last minute and he said that if he wasen't so tired he would have passed it out wide

    Thank god he didn't!!

  • Be assured that we are going for 101 points too - no question about it.

Did they mention why they didn't want 103 ?
  • Great thread and it looked like a superb night. Definitely up for doing next season .
  • good to see you dressed up for the event Dan!!
  • Forgot to say, I had a chat with Crouchy and he is a super lad, who is looking forward to a chance of playing in front of The Valley crowd.

Many of the players commented about coming to us from teams with 1000 - 5000 home gates, to playing for us in front of many times that. It has taken a bit of getting used to for a few of them.
  • Hamer's worrying eyes
    image
  • Some of the black and whites are a bit blurry.

Who were the two blokes that i took a picture for them of CP? Recognise the faces.

that picture of Buckshee and Thommo... notice everyone is looking at Robbo on the Wing. I shudder to think what he was saying?!
  • I'm very fortunate to have won 3 times out of the last 4 years. This was such a good night out I'm considering sponsoring a player next season to ensure that I don't miss out just in case I don't come up in the CL draw again.
  • One lady got Danny Hollands autograph then asked me "which one are you?"

Must've thought I was Peter Garland
  • Very enjoyable evening with Jason Euell and Nick Pope, two of the nicest fellas you could ever meet and from all the posts the rest of the team fall in this catergory.
They could definately win the popularity league and hopefully the Championship.
The way this team interact socially has reflected with their success on the pitch and also with a bit of help from some fella called Chris, they say he is a Sir.
